Same as everybody else debt collector crap
Tina 2014-01-13 17:28:12 Unknown
It is illegal and they know it. The next time they call tell them you are recording the calls from now on. I would definitely start recording them because if they don't take you seriously you can sue them and win with the recordings. You could be swimming in some serious money if they continue their stupid ways. I know this because I used to collect accounts for a living and I know what you can and can't do.

Nice set-up! Sounds like an employee baiting you to talk to them. You don't have to if you don't want to.
Joe Flugnuts 2013-10-24 19:34:33 Unknown
You're an a***ole..
Sue 2013-10-18 02:58:32 Unknown
Well, we all know by now that these places are anything but 'classy'. I cannot imagine someone actually accepting a job like that.
g-locks 2013-08-15 14:42:29 Unknown
hell no!!!!never give them that type of info. address, ss number, birthdate, DEFINATELY not where you work
Tamianth 2013-08-14 20:09:20 Unknown
Probably trying to scam you for money you don't owe! There's a lot of extortion/scams going on now.
You need to file reports on them regardless! FTC,FCC,State Attorney General for your state! Also know your rights, it sounds like they are in violation of of the FDCPA..

Keep receiving messages for our son ( who is bedridden and cannot speak) attempting to collect a debt but when you call them back no one is there ,how important can it be if nobody answers? He has a lot of medical bills but everything is paid .And we have never received any letters from anyone saying we owe money .They seem to call randomly, like one month we will get multiple calls weekly and then no calls at all for months ,who are these people ?
Me 2013-05-14 16:36:35 Unknown
Old Debt Collector, I don't dispute anything you say. But I think we all see what a crock our current "system" is! It's always on the consumer to jump through hoops. We have to send letters, make phone calls, request written statements from companies -- how often do you think that works?! -- and of course hire attornies. We have to spend our own time & money while the crooks just do what they want with impunity. Sure, you might sat, "But these may be legitimate debt collectors, they have to do their jobs!" Yet you also say, "Debts can be bought out over and over again by institutions keeping that bill active, while drawing interest at the same time." So even if a debt was paid years before, it may go on & on. And the innocent consumer has all the responsibility to prove innocence. Clearly the system is broken! Or maybe it's designed to enrich the crooks!

So why don't you just get yourself a new cell number that has no connection with Sabrina whatshername? Seems easier than having to deal with all the crap. You got a "contaminated" number & should get rid of it.
Joe 2013-04-12 13:32:20 Unknown
Hey dude, did you really give these clowns your credit card number over the phone because they asked for it?! You give out info like that to total strangers who call you out of the blue? OK, I'm with Cox Cable too! I need your name, SS # & mothers maiden name for our records. Just reply to this post with a phone number I can reach you at & I'll take the info. Really, I am serious!
Ironyears 2013-04-11 01:23:16 Unknown
Yes, you can blame them, they should at least buy updates on who owns the number, instead of just repeated calls!!!!!!

Left an automated message on my answering machine for a name I do not recognize (not mine or anyone in my family). Said that If I was this person to call back about an important business opportunity. I have no idea what this is about, nor do I intend to call back. I see from some of the other messages left here that R&B Corp. is a debt collection company. I wonder if someone gave out a phony number? I guess I'll just wait to see what happens next.

Started calling me at 7:40AM ET. Left message to call "Ms. Miller" ABOUT A "PERSONAL BUSINESS MATTER". I called and no one answered, It's some kind of collection scam but I don't owe anyone money! I'm on the "No Call List" and plan to prosecute.

Called my cell looking for 'Veronica' (know no one by that name) and gave 877-570-0050 ask for Jaime Hughes as the message. Unpleasant sounding person. Apparently a debt collector but you never know. I am not responding back, as sometimes these places 'harvest' live numbers and sell them. They will now go right to voice mail, flagged as Mr. Yuck. I am on the do not call list.
Debby 2012-02-09 02:19:35 Unknown
Received a message on our answering machine today from this number. I could hardly understand where they said they were calling from. We've never had cox cable and all hospital bills are paid in full. Glad to see that were not the only ones. Lets see if the calls continue. Didnt like the fact they knew my hubbys full name though.
