Green Heritage News is a real, honest, reliable site, a little on the conservative side. Anyhow, the owner of the site, Carol F., and I have gotten back in touch about her story about "smishing". Carol's comment to me, since her own site has been repeatedly hacked in the last few weeks, is that "everything is getting hacked".

How to defend yourself? I have read it numerous times at this site and others like it, that you should change your password(s) frequently, preferably to something that even you cannot remember with lots of "diacritical marks" and no real words. These passwords should be 12 marks/letters in length. Keep a card file with the passwords! Maybe your computer will remember passwords, but still change them "on general principles".

NOTE: Be wary. The reply address from the hacker may be spoofed with only one slight difference from the sent address. A letter "i" may be turned into a "1".

HACKERS!!!  This is the third time our company has been hacked.  This number is a St. Lucia number.  They hack our general voicemail box and use to make fraudulent calls somehow.  This happened last year too, but that was billed to us as Syria Cellular that time.  SO unfair and awful.
