Call came at 10:15 PM (EST) on 5/27/08.  "California Call" was displayed on my caller i.d.  Isn't this a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act which says calls from telemarketers cannot be made after 9:00 PM?

I just received a call to my cellular phone from this number at 8:30 PM on 10/24/08. It was displayed as a California call. I don't believe it to be a telemarketer, because they left a message. The message was about six seconds long, and consisted soley of heavy metal music and slight laughter in the background.

I got a call from this number as well, and a woman asked me something in Spanish.  I had just woken up from a nap though, so I really didn't understand it and just answered her saying "yes".  Then there was a long pause and no answer when I asked her to repeat herself.  I hung up, they called back, but I didn't answer.

It is a California number - says it's from Escondido, CA.  There's no one that I know of who should be calling me from CA though.  Call came around 8pm.

I been receiving calls from this number, my ex husband bothers and stoked me, he lives in Escondido, I tought he tried to scared me, but now that I read the reviews I feel better. They hang up if you answer and sometimes I just leave the phone on the table until they hang up. It's a nightmare, I will try to find to whom belongs this number.

I got a call to my cell phone from this number they insisted to talk to the owner of the phone but were not able to provide the name of the person they were trying to reach (all this in spanish).  I refused to given them my and the person hang up.  I tried calling back but I get a recording saying this number has been disconnected.

I got out of the shower and went to check my phone.  I saw that this number called me but instead of calling back I decided to google the number and see what results I got.  They haven't called back yet but I'm curious as to who called and why they are dialing random numbers.

Got 3 calls today from this number and whoever called quickly hung up.  Called the number back and there is a message saying its "disconnected"

Called my cell phone at 9:22pm (on 10/28/09).  I did not answer, the caller did not leave a message.  Caller id just listed the number 1(760) 233-3541, Escondido, CA

Just got this call today on my home phone.
When I answered the person ddnt say anythg and hung up. I called back right away and the number is disconn.

They keep calling my cell phone. When I keep calling the number back, it tells me its disconnected. And when I listened to the voicemail, it was static. If this is a telemarketer, be aware that this is a cell phone, and quit calling.
