He Just call me with the same threath about a payloan that Im going to be in order of arrest in 30 minutes if I dont pay $350 I live in Miami and this is from California

Got a call stating I needed to call this number and/or my retained attorney immediately.  If I do not call this number I will be in serious trouble.  His name was supposedly Alex Brown.

Got a phone call from a guy that I couldn't even understand. But I did pick out that I needed to return the call immediately or there would be consequences. What do I do...this has to be a scam!

I just got a call recently, The call in the message did not specify what he was calling for. All i got was the number and he said if i did not return the call consequences would be coming, and the he would pray for me and good luck. HELP!

I got a call this morning. couldn't even understand the woman, so I called back and I was told that a criminal lawsuit was being filed against me. Things got a litttle hot and He became bery rude. I was told that an arrest warrent was file and I would be arrested in  two hours. They had all my info and my ssi #. The chages were very ambigious. Some thing like stealing money on the web??? They said $599 dollars was deposited in my account and I didn ' pay, so they were arresting me. LOLOL. After we talked a while He hung up on me. Very unpro. for a lawyer. LOL. The number was 760-269-4211.
 I called my bank and they said it was a scam form scum and no deposit was ever made to my account. Hope they nget what they should. LOL
  I could not understand the name of the law firm they clamed to be.

I got the same call today! they said someone was going to be coming to my work to arrest me then I would be going to cali. to face fed charges! when i asked them what I could do to fix it they put me on hold. then when they got back on the line he asked how much I could pay today to stop it from going. he stated that there would be a 200 min today. advised him I would call back. he said I had one hour. after that I called all 3 credit b and had an alert put on my credit, the FTC, and the county sheriffs dept just to make sure they had nothing on me. also am freezing all accounts and getting new account numbers. what a crappy way to spend a day off. lol

I received a call, sent it to voicemail, and they continued to call back.  Finally answered to a man that could not even be understood.  I am a DNC phone number and when I stated that he told me he was a paralegal and was calling to collect a large debt.  Told him not to contact me I know that I do not have debt.  As soon as I hung up he called back, I continued to tell him that he was harrassing me and that I was reporting him.  He told me to go to he**.  Any idea on who I contact to file a complaint besides with the DNC registry??

I got the same call today told me i had 3 federal warrants for my arrest. I got loud with him he got loud back cursed at me and hung up on me. After looking up his name I found the web site and i did call the FTC and also reported it to my credit bureau. Finally got a hold of him after he hung up on me it took me 30 mins to get a hold of him again, I had to use the number that he called me on because i could not use my house or my wifes cell phone said the number would not go through. I called a bail bonds in cali and had them look my name up and there is no warrant for my arrest. These ppl are total scum wish i as able to sue them for harrasment..

I am getting harassing phone calls from this number. They have left me voicemails threating to put a warrant out for my arrest if I don't pay back a loan that I NEVER received or applied for. The person calling speaks horrible English.

I just called FTC @ 1-877-382-4357 and  filed a complaint about these people. FTC.gov is all you need. Look in the site map and find fair debt collection for consumers rights. You do not have to give these collectors any info. They are prohibited from telling you that you will be arrested. This is a scare tactic. They hung up on me and I called them back 3x. I didn't use any profanity, just demanded that they forward me validation of debt or remove me from their list. They will not be calling me back. I have a case reference number and everything.

A friend of mines just got a call called me because im the 1 that will get to the bottom of this these people called her at work she called me upset they told her she was going to jail that they were some type of law firm but would not give any info they just want money. I did a reverse lookup of th number and i see the comments from you guys.

I got a call from 760-269-4211 saying that he was david cooper from sacremento, ca who is a lawyer about my case because i was being sued for unpaid loans and that didnt make sense. He said i had to pay $596 from a greendot moneycard from walmart or he would send pay work to the attorney generals office and i would be arrested from my home or my job. I didnt do it and now he sayd i am goin to be arrested and sent to california from delaware for court. I hope someone gets these people before they mess up someones life foreal cuz something like that is nothing to play with.

Keeps calling my boyfriend saying that he's being sued by his former employer and that if he doesn't tell his address such that he can be served, then he will be arrested.

SOME IDIOT WHO SOUNDED LIKE HE WAS FROM INDIA OR PAKISTAN CALL MY CELL LOOKING FOR MY SON..HE WAS CALLING ALL HRS OF THE NIGHT AND MORNING...I FINALLY TALKED TO HIM VERY AGRESSIVELY TELLING HIM TO PUT HIS SUPERVISOR ON THE DAMN PHONE THEN HE JUST HUNG UP THE PHONE,,,,,,THEY ARE SCAMMERS...HE SAID IT WAS A FEDERAL LAWSUIT AGAINST MY SON...WOW HE IS ONLY 20....I LAFFED ...THEN CURSED HIM OUT...WOW TURN THE TABLES ON THEY PUNK A***S......THEY WILL LEAVE U ALONE...THE FUNNY THIS IS THAT MY SON HAS NO JOB NO CREDIT NO LOANS NO BILLS....THEY HAVENT CALLED VACK SINCE....BY THE WAY THE FEDS DONT MAKE HOUSECALLS...NOT TO MENTION TELL PERSONAL INFO OVER THE DAMN PHONE...

My sister as well got a call on 04/27/2012 saying the same thing. and knew all of her husbands info too!

i got a phone call this morning and along with all day they told me that my twn cops willl be hear to pick me up with cuffs and take me to prison until a court date to resolve the penalties he said to get a lawer and everything didnt know what he was talking about i never received no money or any paper work for proof not even an emAil i had asked him for proof he said he is just a paraleagal and couldnt get me any information stupid crock wich there was someone to put  a thing on your phone to scare them off always getting calles from people who are just stupid scams

YOU CANNOT BE ARRESTED FOR FAILURE TO PAY ANY DEBT - EVER - NO EXCEPTIONS.

EVERYTHING THEY SAY IS ILLEGAL - VIOLATION OF THE FDCPA...... THEY WILL NOT SUE YOU OVER A PAYDAY LOAN , THEY CAN'T FILE CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST YOU, THEY ARE USING ILLEGAL TACTICS - FILE A COMPLAINT WITH YOUR LOCAL ATTORNEY GENERAL, OR THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION.  

MAKE THEM MAIL YOU VERIFICATION OF THE ORIGINAL DEBT BY U.S. MAIL (not email)
FEDERAL LAW MANDATES THAT THEY MAIL THIS TO YOU UPON REQUEST. IF THEY WONT FOR ANY REASON, THIS IS FURTHER PROOF THAT THEY ARE RUNNING AN ILLEGAL DEBT OPERATION.

I received a call today from this number at my place of employment, and they told me that the sheriff was coming to pick me up if I didn't give them my credit card or wire them some money. They claimed I owed them for a pay day loan. I told the guy that I was going to go to the sheriffs office and wait for the warrant and he hung up. PLEASE BE AWARE!!! Big scam going on. I reported to my local sheriff, to the FTC, and to the Attorney General.

have been getting messages left on answering machine from the 760-269-4211 number stating that I or my attorney need to contact him (John Walter) immediately. If not, then he wishes me luck on the pending legal issues that I will soon be encountering.

okay sheriff called me back from victorville ca. and said it is coming from one of those disposable cell phones so not to answer the calls because they cant trace them

i just called the sheriffs office in victorville ca. and reported this and they are going to investigate he said for everyone to call and report this to them so they can do something about this number is 7-760-245-4211

i hope this is a scam. i have no idea what they are talking about.it was an indian guy saying i was being sued,but couldnt tell me why. said to call back for ext 346 and talk to david cooper

This number (7602694211) called me at home and at work and said i am going to jail, because the money has already been written off as a loss. I will be questioned possibly arrested at my job tomorrow, because of who they say I owe.

These guys are hillarious!  One would think if you are going to conduct a SCAM you would call from a blocked number. I blocked my number, and called them back.  They asked me for my phone number and I said "I'm not giving you my phone number."  Then I told them I knew they were calling from Victorvl, CA and it is a home residence.  They guy who answered spoke very clear and crisp English, and then when I started telling him that they are not to contact my cell phone or my office number and that I am recording their conversation and that there are people "coming to their house to arrest them for verbal and personal threats via the telephone"  this heavy, terrible, ridiculous, broken Indian accent revealed itself.  I started laughing more and he said "listen here you f'ing bloody "b", and I said really? really? keep talking because I'm recording you.  I know who you are, where you live and you are going to do some serious time for terroristic threats, phone scams, harassment, etc.  He got very irritated and hung up, so I kept calling him back and laughing into the phone, then I'd call him again and start laughing and he kept hanging up on me. Now they won't answer my call from the blocked number.  

It is absolutely dispicable that these people are harassing us in our own country!!!   Report this.  I do not believe they have any info.  Believe none of it, they are trying to get a rise out of you and DO NOT return their call from a visible number.  make sure your call is blocked *69 then dial their number.  If everyone who receives a phone call like this takes 10 minutes out of their day to prank them back from a blocked number and tell them the same BS they are telling us maybe it will stop.  Don't tollerate this!!

These people call me this morning and it was a guy who barely spoke english and he  wanted me to call 7602694211. When I called they said they were a lawfirm and I was getting charged with 3 counts of fraud and not paying back a payday loan. He claim that they would arrest me in 2 hrs if I did not come up with the minimum of 417 but i couldnt pay with my debt I would have to get a pre paid card from a location of his chose then call in and make the payment in 45 min or else. My first mind was wtf Im going to jail then i looked up the num on google and found all these comments and I wanna know how do i report these people. I actually was going to pay up because i do have a payday loan in process.These people must be stopped.

Oh my goodness! I got that phone call this morning and very early at that. I cussed out the idiot calling me and it was from that 760 number. But it showed up on my caller ID as "no number".

I received a call this morning too, but I was prepared after reading all of the above posts.  I had a little fun with this guy.  He stated he was a paralegal and didn't have any detailed information about my case (didn't even have the right information about me!)  I told him all of my affairs were in order and there was nothing that could be pending "against my name."  He started threatening with legal action and arrests...whatever!  I just laughed.  I asked him for the main number for his place of business so I could verify his identity and employment.  He hung up on me.  Darn it....I wasn't threw with him yet!
