I was one of the telemarketers there once. It's not a really drawing but they really do give you the memberships, there's just an $8 maintenance fee that gets explained if you stay on the phone. All the workers there are teenage girls so they're pretty rude.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone last night.  My wife received a call from this number a couple of weeks ago on our house phone.  Very few people have my cell number so I absolutely believe this is simple telemarketing and not the result of a referral.

Just got a call from them on my cell phone.  Same thing - "a friend" entered me in a raffle and we "won" two World Gym memberships, so they'd like to know when we could come pick them up?  I said I didn't know, because they were calling me at work. she responded that she needed a time when we'd be in so she could let her boss know we were "interested".  After I said we had a membership at Bally's already, she was actually polite and said they'd "draw" a new winner.  Hey, at least I got the polite, low-pressure one....

Called and said I won a free two year membership to the gym...same story as above.. .sounds like BS to me.

called me too, to say i won a membership to Metro Fitness (they're new addition) ...when i POLITELY told the caller I already had a membership at Worlds, which is good at Metro, and i've had it for years, she hung up on me...no "goodbye"....no "i'm sorry"...just a click...

Good way to lose another customer

They didn't leave a message, but they called my cell phone & I don't give out that number. They probably bought a list of cell phone numbers to call and try to get new members. Someone called with the same offer to my daughter's cell phone a few weeks ago.

I received a call from them also. She started out very polite, stated her name was Marcie and proceeded to tell me that I also won 2 free memberships. I promptly asked her if this was a solicitation call, and she said "no" (a lie of course), that I won memberships. I proceeded to tell her that the phone number she was calling me on was registered with the 'do not call list' and that... She then just hung up on me.  She hurt my feelings! lol

I also received a call on my cell phone.
They were polite. Said I had won 2 memberships.
Someone had entered my name in a raffle.
Probably just bull crap telemarketing.

I just received the phone call too....very annoying they said a friend entered my name into a drawing.  So either my friends think I am fat or this is another telemarketing scam~

I too recieved a call from this number on my work phone claiming the same offer. They said that someone had put my business card in their contest jar and that mine was drawn. I don't believe they knew my name though. So it seemed unlikely. I've driven by the place and their main phone number is 586-566-6275. Could be them. I made sure not to give them any further info about myself.
