5/15 17:00  Made the mistake of answering phone I don't know anyone in Escondido, but I wasn't paying attention and this is the 4th call today from unknown numbers.  I don't trust claims of charities for children these days, especially when they ask for a specific amount of money.  Told the woman I was sorry, couldn't do it and hung up.  I have a spreadsheet these days with over 200 #s.

Thanks for this tip. I've also called them back & chose 1 to remove my number from the list. Let's see if the calls continue.

Made the mistake of picking this one up.

Caller ID also shows "Escondido, CA". Caller identified themselves a calling for Children's Leukemia charity. Asked them to call back tomorrow (Easier to do this instead of getting angry or confrontational). Then came here for info.

Followed Tiger, Ventura County's comment to call them back and choose 1 to get my number removed. I'll post again if they continue their calls.

I'm also filtering my calls through Google Voice, and this one will get my special "Telemarkers" voicemail message.

Received a call from this number. Didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message.

"Professional" fund raisers.  They call for various legitimate charities, but the charity gets only a small percentage of whatever is contributed.  If you do give them money, they will hound you forever.

Caller I.D. says only "Escondido, CA".  I'll categorize it below as a "Non-profit", but that isn't really the case.  They make profits for themselves.  I have about concluded that ANY unsolicited phone call is from some kind of crook.  Too bad.  

I get about a dozen junk calls every week.  If we are going to be able to keep land lines in our homes, we must have new, enforceable legislation.  Call your Congressman.

Got a call, no one there, & I am here today to report the 26 telephone calls recieved in the last 2 days.They have overloaded my answereing machine & my time .this on a national "do not call" listing for our telephone.

These morons can call all they want.  I'll never answer. 2:33 pm was their latest failed attempt.

I usually answer telemarketing calls and when the caller asks for me or my wife, I say "Just a moment", put down the phone and wait until I hear the loud noise from the phone telling me they finally hung up.  Sometimes they'll stay on the line for over a minute.  The worst thing you can do to telemarketers is to waste their time, because their time is their money.

The caller,760-300-3685, a man, called& said my 1st name. He said he is for Leukemia Foundation, I hung up and returned the call. The message : You called the integrate Service, if you are on do not call list , we are charity & exempted from : Do not call", but it later allowed me to click 1 to remove  my number from their calling list.

Another hangup call from "escondido, ca" today at 10:01 am.  If it is, in fact, a charity as reported by othr posters then it must be a bogus one since they can't even display their correct name on caller ID!

Hangup call today at 11:52 am.  I would never donate money to any charity who cold calls me.  I don't care if the DNC list allows them to call -- I will never answer and they won't ever get any money out of me.  Also, it automatically makes me think they are a shady company since they choose to disguise their true identity when calling.  "ESCONDIDO CA" is NOT the name of any real company!

Charity scammers using free Google numbers to hide their true identities. Don't pick up any calls where caller ID is reported only as a city or a state. These are free Google numbers and are mostly used by scammers, drug dealers and prostitutes.

Called and did not leave a message.  I am on DNC registry and am still bothered by these calls.  I will not pick up if I do not recognize the number.

Said they were calling for children's lukemia. I said i'm sorry but no and please take this number off your list. they hung up on me.

Received two calls this week from California.  One from Orange and one from Escondido. No message left.

This is yet another # for Innovative Teleservices, supposedly representing several charities which is why they claim they can still call people on the dnc list.  Except they are calling me just about every day, from a different part of the country & all different #s.  I have called each of them & req to be placed on THEIR dnc list.  If these calls do not stop, I will go ahead & report them to the ineffective gov't agency that supposedly is stopping these jack***es from annoying us.

Charity or not, they have no right to continue calling my home, end of story!
