I have received multiple calls from the SSI caller ID number asking to speak with me this past week. The voicemail does not make sense. The man leaving the message sounds like he has an Hispanic accent (but l could be wrong). I have not called this number back or been home at the time to answer the call so I cannot be sure of what caller company they are identifying themselves as.

I got numerous calls from the number 760-407-3716. That is really annoying. Please stop calling me again.

I have tried the same thing without any results. Now, I have the numbers recorded with a special ringtone, that tells me or anyone who might have my phone.not to answer the phone. The ringtone has a voice like someone in a gang. it says "Don't answer the phone, man, even if you think it's me, cause I think the phone is bugged, don't answer the phone, even if it's me, Ok , and it repeats. I just laugh, realizing it's one of "them" that are calling, everyone who hears it laughs too. So if they call it just makes us laugh, We definitely won't answer the call. : D The ringtone is a free ringtone, I forgot where I found it. But check your ringtone for your phones for free ones that tell you not to answer your phone.

You should always get something in writing from them that states the amount you need to pay it off. Then purchase a money order to pay them. Keep copies of everything for the rest of your life.

Twice In one day they called me from this number. It leaves me a voicemail but nobody says anything nor an automated message.

I got those all the time until someone ACTUALLY left me a message. She was very professional, left an extension and her name, and we paid my debt, and she asked for my permission to speak with my grandmother who paid it (who I'm paying back in payments). But now, two months later, they called again, and wouldn't leave messages at all, not even automated ones. Everytime I called back and said my name, they'd disconnect me. Now they are saying I didn't pay anything, and are being incredibly rude.

Interesting, I did have a debt with them which i paid two months ago, and all of a sudden I'm getting calls three times a day from them. Last week I told them that if I hadn't paid it, that I wanted to know how to pay it. The guy I was talking to said "Oh, so what? Now you want to pay it?" I said "Excuse me?" he then said "Well, you said you paid it, so why would you pay it again?" He was VERY rude. I told him that I was at work, and that he should call me Monday at 3:30. He didn't. He called me Tuesday at noon, and this morning at 9 AM.

I keep receiving calls from this number. When I answer it's an automated voice, identifying the caller as ??? (I can't understand what's said here, but it sounds like R.E.) Financial. Then, it gives me two choices: Press 1 if I'm the person they called for; or press 5 if I'm not. I'm not, so I press 5 and they call back - repeatedly, as in every day right at dinner time. I tried calling the number back and I immediately - no ring - went straight to elevator music. After a few seconds of elevator music I got the "your call is very important to us so please continue to hold" message. Immediately after that message ended, the call was disconnected from their end.
VERY FRUSTRATING!

My wife got a call from this number and they identified themselves only as SSI on the VM Msg - which is misleading, because you think it's the Soc. Sec. Admin. Ofc. When she called them back they said they were calling about a debt and started asking details on her birthdate, etc., which she refused to answer. The lady on the phone just said, "Well, if you're not going to identify yourself......(CLICK)" Yup, they hung up that abruptly. We went BK in 2010 so we should have zero debt to collected on. Perhaps one of the debts did not get Discharged as it should have, so we are checking into that. Anyway, do not cooperate, do not answer any questions. They called you! Make them tell you what they think they know. Do not say "Yes" to anything! They'll twist it into you confirming a debt owed!!
