These same SOBs have been calling me too. Using the name Charlie Sheen... like that doesnt tell me its scam?!?!? Says I owe them money and that if I do not call them back my local sheriff will come arrest me. I have contacted a lawyer and they are currently working the case to track down these SOBs and get them shut down. I also contacted my cell phone provider and they are working on getting the number traced, they are masking their phone number from wherever they are actually working out of, these guys are not in the US, they are overseas somewhere. My question is HOW ARE THEY GETTING OUR INFO?!?!?

omg I got the same phone call yesterday, while at work on my cell with a VM to return the call NOW, as he stated. When I called him back the phone rang and an Indian accent man answered and said "how can I help you" , no attorney company as he said in his VM that he worked for so I thought it sounded phishy until he said my name, and last 4 of my SSN and my state. I got nercous he said the same s**t on how it was about an online acct they put money into and now when they are trying to get repaid cant get it out. Told me same thing that the sheriff will come and get me the next day and put me in jail if I dont settle this matter, and said they will notify my employer. I got real scared. This needs to be dealt with and these scammers need to be arrested. Let me know if anyone finds out if we can do something....He said he was working for the John Anderson law firm also with this number to call him back at 760-514-0162.

They are full of it at this number.  They cannot arrest you for not paying a debt unless it is a court appointed debt (fine, restituiton, etc).  They are getting our info from online sources and I have taken out a payday loan online before but it was paid a long time ago.  They must have hacked into that information.  I would call the credit reporting agencies and put a lock on your ss#, I did and I feel much safer.  Don't take any payday loans or any loans of any kind out online.  They want your account numbers and they can get them if you do.  They are complete scammers and debt collectors are not allowed to threatnen you with jail.  They will not incarcinate you for not paying a debt or bill and you also cant go to court for it unless you are served with papers.  All they would do for that is garnish your wages but it cant happen unless it is a legit company.  I wouldnt worry about these a**holes.  They are just trying to get your info so dont call them back either.
