I was out of town 5 days, there were 13 calls from this number while I was gone

Call came in and very very faintly it was as if a staticy recording was playing but I couldn't tell what it was really.  Quite annoying to say the least.

I called them back about 50 times in a row just to clog there phone lines for a bit. I was hung up on every single time. They will not answer any questions regarding thier company other than the obscure, untraceable names "Allied Services or Northside services. When I asked for a web address I was hung up on. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was hung up on. When I asked for a physical address for the buisness or even a general location, I was hung up on. I did a reverse lookup. the physical address is in LA and it's a land line, through digitcom services. I left a message concerning the phone number in question and my intent to contact the BBB. I tried. Without an address I cannot even report this company. Who do we report this to? Shouldn't we have a recourse to report fraudulent buisnesses? I am also on the national do not call list and have an unpublished number. WTH?

A recorded male voice comes on the line and informs the listener that they have a large amount of money in credit card debt ($10,000) and an interest rate of 29%.  I just hung up.  What a ridiculous scam!

I too am on the do not call list!  What can we do to stop this annoying caller?

They called me saying they were calling about my visa card and i had won a $500 shopping spree, i asked them to call back when my dad (the card holder) was around, they said they couldn't do that. i said i didn't have time for this and they started yelling at me not to hang up the phone. now they won't stop calling me. multiple times every day, i pickup and hang up but they keep calling.

I got a call from this number 760-526-8132, the caller id showed it as 'CANC' and  an automated voicemail went saying I owe $10,000 in credit card at 29% default rate, press 1 to discuss... the same message the other callers got.I just hung up.I do not even have a credit card  does anyone know who these people are?

Voice mail left by man stating that this was my last chance to get rid of all of my credit card debt and that I must call him back within 24 hours to avoid serious consequences.
I am on the do not call list - so this call should never have been made ! !

Have called twice now, telling me I have $10,000 in credit card debt (I have none) and am paying in excess of 29% interest.  Told me to press 1 to lower my rates.  I pressed  1, got a woman, and told her I was on the Do Not Call Registry; she said they were a Canadian company, but she could put me on their do not call list.  I said, "That's strange, because you're calling from a California area code; but please put me on your do not call list anyway, and I will be reporting you."  She hung up.

Received a call from 760 526 8132 both on my cell and my home. Its legal to call cell phones now(thanks washington). I pressed 1 to get a representative, and told them I was on the no call list. The response, "good for you, thanks for calling", followed by a click. I called back, and demanded a supervisor, after which the line was disconnected. My wife picked up the effort at that point. She called 15 times, spoke with only 2 different people. A MAN named Alexis(it is california anything is possible), and a woman claiming to be a supervisor. We asked for the name of the company, and got 5 different answers. None of these company names come up on google. Allied debt services, oceanside Debt Services, and Northside Debt Services, were among the names given. Once we got the supervisor on the phone, we asked for the location of the company. We were told, Park Meyers, FL. There is no such city in Florida.
Im still researching, and I will get to the bottom of this, and the FTC will find out.

annoying call

Yesterday the caller ID said "CANC" 760-526-8132 Something about $10,000 in high interest debt.  Wanted me to press 1, so I hung up.  Called again today and I did not answer.

I received a call at home from 760-526-8132 at exactly 7:00 PM.  "Paul" from Consumer Alert left a voicemail message alleging that this was his last attempt to help me eliminate my credit card debt "down to zero."  He said the phrase "Down to zero" twice, and it just sounds ambiguous IMO. Assumably he meant zero dollars?  I don't have credit cards or any debt whatsoever to consolidate.  "Paul" left a callback number of 800-883-8312.

Seeing that this same company uses a variety of messages and tactics, I can bet the operators work on some kind of commission basis.  Telemarketers, bleh!

Got a call from this # a few minutes ago.  Didn't answer, this is happening alot!!!  I hope they like my fax machine in their ear!!!   INDYFELON.....I'M W/ YA BROTHER!!!!

called me on 6/30/08 at 11:27 local time (pacific) and left no message.  What an annoyance!

Received voice message @ 2:47 PM, 06/12/08, from this number.  Caller ID indicates call is from CANC.  The voice message (VM) indicates that a David, claiming he represents Consumer Alert, is calling about a "credit card" of $10,000.00 which is now subject to a 29.99% "default interest rate." The VM futher indicates that a response within 24 hours is required at 800-883-8312.  Repeated attempts to call the number are met with a VM indicating no one is available to take the call...followed by a "Good-Bye."  There is no opportunity presented to leave this caller a return voice message.
I do not own a credit card and have not for quite a number a years.

recieved this on my Visual Voicemail. Must have come in pretty clear, unlike others for the Visual Voicemal to transcibe it. "This is David at Consumer Alert.  It is imperative that you call me back at 800-883-8312.  WE need to discuss the $10,000 in credit card debt that is currently subject to a 29.99% default interest rate.  Call me back within the next 24 hours.  Thank you."

I didn't answer it either.  This is the second Cali number from that region I have had call me in as many days.  I live on the east coast! I don't know anyone there, or have cc debt... strange.  So needs to stop!

Showed up on ID.  Have a prepaid fone and ever since I activated it, I have been receiving calls on my regular cell and the pre-paid with numerous numbers.  Didnt answer this call, but all the rest said they can sell my house(I rent) and can get rid of my debts.

Someone is selling peoples cell numbers, but who????

They just called my office, and it sounded like someone was talking as I answered the phone, but then no one was there.

A girl who used to work here owes a lot of $$ to Credit Card companies, and collection agencies call a lot for her, so maybe that's what it was??

didn't answer call as i didn't recognize number.....left voicemail that consisted of noise like a motor running but no human sound. have had these in the past and all the same.....no message

I really want you guys to all do this! Save this number. The woman who answers the phone said her name is Cassandra. Well, whenever you have a bad day, call this number and ask for her, or Kirby, or whoever happened to call you and bother you, and give them a piece of your mind. Tell them how pathetic you think they are for taking a job like this. Tell them whatever, just do it over and over again. I especially love pretending I'm actually going for their schpeal. I act like I can't hear so they have to yell, or that I have no attention span or can't remember what I just said or they just said - It's great fun. Then, when you're bored ask them how they feel about having someone waste their time. You'll get hung up on, but you can always call right back again. And again.

ALSO - File a complaint w/ the ftc like I did.

Called and spoke with my wife fishing for information. The message said something like "You have exceeded 10k on a credit card. Touch 1 to speak to a representative". She did so and got a lady who tried to get information from her about who she was. She wouldn't give them who she was and asked who their company was but the lady wouldn't tell her. Eventually they hung up when they couldn't get through. Looks like phishing to me.

From "Paul" who said I owe over 10K on credit card at 29.9% interest. I should stay on the line to speak to someone. I stayed on the line and when some one answered several minutes later I started to tell them my thoughts and they hung up.

This number has started calling daily - ID is CANC. Never anyone on the line.
Is there a way to make the Attorney General's in every state start reading this site???

I figure people like this will never honor the do not call list. They call me under all sorts of pretenses. Here is what I do about it:   I subscribed to Packet 8 voice-over-internet phone service... also known as 8x8. Its unlimited calling for you know, around 25/mo. When I got it I didn't know they had a few tricks up their sleeve for annoying callers. On their website there is a page where you can block incoming calls.     Well, some of these telemarketers have bought HUGE blocks of phone numbers. I spent 3 hours one day blocking 300 numbers from these fruitcakes, but it was worth it. I have never heard from them again. Now all they get when they call my number is a BUSY SIGNAL! hahah Screw those guys. They think the number is just busy but I will never answer it. They can't ever get my voice mail now. The trouble is, some of these organizations probably buy thousands of numbers. I will block every one of them if I have to. See ya.
