Keep getting calls from this number at home and work. No message is ever left. One day I answered at home. Said I was the babysitter. A man in a VERY thick indian accent said that I had to have her call back because there are SERIOUS legal actions against her. I said, "Well, I can tell you are a scammer as you cannot say that to anyone and it's deffamation" He said OH a babysitter thinks she knows the Law! I said better than someone that isn't even a LEGAL resident of this country. I hung up on him. He called back I hung yup. 10 times this happened in a 1min time span. He then yelled that he was having Me AND Her arrested. Me for what....hanging up the phone. Yeah that's legal!

Something need's too be done about these people-if it's been going on for over a year then it need's too be put too an end........

The first time the call me it was a year ago. They call me from my cellphone nonstopping and they call from my job. I got so scarry that Ib even change my cell phone number which I had for years.  I even left my job because i was so scary of their harassment because they keep on call my job phone number and I keep on asking myself how in god name they get my job number. now Monday the 20th of September 2010 at 12 o'clock pm. my cellphone ring and didn't answer it but when I check my voice mail it my biggest shock to discover it was the same man from 2009 that was harassing me with his phone threating calls and now he was against leaving me a threating message that if i didn't call him back with my attorney i was going to be an a big trouble. I'm fed up with this scambag and i'm not going to change my number for a second time against because of this loonatics. He said his name was Daniel Lopez his company hotline number was 760-582-0313. Also the number that  appear on my cellphone id is 760-582-0310.

So i received phone calls and voice mail messages from john harris stating that i am i serious legal trouble and that i need to pay $555 dollars to the "creditors".  i told him that i didnt know what he was talking about and he said that i would be arrested today or tomorrow if i didn't pay.  i asked him to send me some proof and he said that i would get proof after i paid the $555 to acsa.  he was being coached by someone in the background, telling him what to say throught the whole conversation.  he also told me to go to the library and send him a fax stating that i will pay the creditors the money... and to put my social, my address, and phone number on th fax stating that i didnt do "this" intentionally.  i googled acsa and came up with nothing.  but when i googled the phone number where he called from 760-582-0313, i saw all this wonderful information that you guys have put here to shed some light on these scammers.  thanks guys!

I got 65 calls in one day to my cell, not to mention the calls to my job that same day, from these people saying they were from a law services office when I asked which one they wouldnt give me a name but stated that they were from California I asked where in California they could not or would not tell me. Just like the other post they say I will be in big trouble if I dont listen to them, or they will have to download a file I told them they are bogus and hung up thats when they kept calling and calling finally I got frustrated and answered the phone asked them for their information like their names and return numbers after very lil info given they asked why I said I am reporting them to police and anyone else who will listen because I know they are scamming, the man said to me oh you are threating us I told him no not threating I am promising and I did follow through, so when they called again 2 weeks later I told them I know they are scamming and have reported them quit calling me because I will report their calls every time...

If you are targeted by these criminals, be sure to report them to all the following federal and state law enforcement agencies (most of which you can do online or over the phone):
1.    The U.S. Secret Service is responsible for protecting the country's financial infrastructure and payment systems from international and domestic threats. Call or write your local Secret Service field office to alert them to the details of this attempted extortion. The addresses and phone numbers for the local Secret Service field offices are listed at http://www.secretservice.gov/field_offices.shtml or in your phone book.
2.    Alert the FBI at https://tips.fbi.gov Be sure to tell the FBI that you are being targeted by extortionists over the phone. And if the crooks claim to be law enforcement or lawyers, officers of the court or bankers, be sure to include that information in your report.
3.    File a complaint with your local police. Most police departments will take a report over the phone.  Be sure to tell them that you're being targeted by an extortionist and give them all the details.
4.    File a complaint your state's attorney general, the contact information for whom is at www.wvago.gov
5.    File a complaint online with The Federal Trade Commission at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en
If these crooks call back, promise them nothing, pay them nothing and tell them nothing other than that you know they're a scam and that you've reported them to law enforcement. (And be sure to report them to all the agencies above each time they call you.)

By the way, here's just a small sample of numbers used by this particular group of scammers. Read the reports and you'll see the same pattern time and again -- phony organization names, thick foreign accents, and oddly worded threats that are so melodramatic and ridiculous that it's laughable:

Scam alert: Bogus debt collectors
By Leslie McFadden ? Bankrate.com
Monday, Aug. 3
Posted 2 p.m.
Bankrate reporter Leslie McFadden contributed this entry.
This scam isn't technically about credit cards, but it is scary enough to post a warning. The Better Business Bureau issued an alert today saying consumers across the country are getting phone calls from bogus debt collectors claiming default on a payday loan. Of course, the consumer needs to pay a large fee to avoid arrest -- as much as $1,000.
The caller poses as a lawyer, and may threaten extradition to face trial if the consumer doesn't pay up immediately.
What makes these calls alarming -- and perhaps convincing -- is that the perpetrators reference the consumer's personal information, such as the person's Social Security number, driver's license number, previous bank account numbers, home address -- even personal references.
"The amount of information they have is really troubling," says BBB spokeswoman Alison Southwick. She adds that the amount of data points to a possible security breach.
Spread the word to your friends and family: Don't give out personal or financial information to an unknown caller. Scammers can spoof Caller ID to display different numbers, so trust your instincts over technology.
The BBB offers these tips:
?    Ask the debt collector to provide official documentation which substantiates the debt.
?    Do not provide or confirm any bank account, credit card or other personal information over the phone until you have confirmed the legitimacy of the call.
?    File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission online if the caller is abusive, uses threats or otherwise violates federal telemarketing laws or the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
?    File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau online if you believe a debt collector is trying to scam you.

I have received calls from this company for weeks, they call over and over.  I do not know who they are or what they are.  They claim they are some money lending company, however, I have never heard of them nor have I ever used there services.  They are claiming I am in serious Legal trouble and they are suing me for funds due.  I asked for all the information they have, I asked him to give me the bank routing number, and account number money was deposited into, he could not do this.  I receive over 30 calls a day, and this is on my caller ID they call from 760-582-0310/760-582-0313 / 760-585-2031- or 1-000-076-582 says security code.

I asked him several time to stop calling, to not call me again, and informed them I would press harrassment charges if calls did not stop.  I informed them it was illegal to call someone or harass them after they inform them they want no further contact.  I have saved all messages etc.  I will find out who they are.

They will not give me any information, I asked them where and how they received my phone etc.  They stated that I gave it to them.  I in fact did not.  I asked him to show me proof any money was received a cancelled or paid check etc.  They have nothing, they are trying to get me to give them information that I will not do.
To anyone else getting these calls I strongly suggest you call Better Business Bureau, and your local county attorney.
