A foreign sounding man called my work number. Barely able to understand his English. Said his name was Tom Sparks from the law office of Tony Best. Had me repeat back the same number he called from. Did a reverse look-up on the number and it's a VoIP phone from Calipatria, California.

Caller who didn't speak English well stated his name was Eric Brown with Best Law Firm re; a law suite. He was told this is a business and to take this number out of their directory. He stated it was a letal case and if I didn't have the individual call him back, it wouldn't be his fault if they lost their job. I hung up on them and reported them to the  BBB.

I got a voicemail from this caller as well.  The funny thing is, my phone doesn't ring--it just suddenly has a voicemail show up & there is no record of a missed call even.  Very odd.

Anyway, the guy on the voicemail also said he was Mike Brown, calling from "blah, blah" lawfirm (couldn't understand him due to heavy middle eastern accent & mumbling), threatened arrest, lawsuit, etc. & closed the message with that classic scammer "if you do not call back all I can do is wish you luck as the situation unfolds upon you".  Sheesh, they haven't changed their script for YEARS and need to get new material!  LOL

I started getting these calls 2 years ago for a long time & then they stopped for a year and a half, but now I guess my number has been "recycled" again.  VERY annoying, but its nothing but a scam & they will never get a red cent from me!

These are not telemarketers. They are scam artist trying to get info from you to steal you idenity....If you apply for things on line they can get a whole lot of info about you and then they try to call you with fake arrest warrants and law suit. Thats because there trying to get more info from you like drivers license number and so on so they can rob your bank acct or your idenity.....Guys be careful......

This has happened not to me but my husband. They had my daughters phone number which tipped me off that this was nothing but bs. They had also called he's office, I was always careful never to give out his number, which would tip me off that is was not real. They said the same thing on a voice mail that if he didn't call Tues nite that he would be arrested at our house the next day by 10:30 am. Well they didn't show, I went on the Judiciary case search and there was nothing there. It was an Indian man saying his name was Alan Burke, from the law office of John Best. Well I've been to law offices they never talk on the phone with a bunch of other ppl talking in the back ground. I had to ask him to repeat himself several times and told him there was too many ppl talking around him to understand. I am so fed up with telemarketers, I know they have to make a living too but be for real ppl, there's a point that they cross the line! I want to know how I can get my revenge on this crap!

They were extremely rude and used bad language F you- go to hell saying they were the owner - Eric Johnson.  Someone is paying the phone bill or rent on for this establishment and they need to know what their employees are doing. The person they are looking for does not work here anymore and they would not take that for an answer.  They are foreign and just ramble with loud noise in the background. I want them to stop harrassing and calling people.  What is this world coming to.

These people have been calling me for almost 3 years now. They have a heavy accent and ramble on about sueing me, legal action against my social security card, etc. They have told me they were on the courthouse steps, coming to office, talking to my friends, going to arrest me and a myriad of other things.  They have never done anything.....they are complete scammers and frauds.  There is absolutely nothing to be gained by arguing with them. And you cannot sue them they are outside of the US. They call me from different numbers - it used to happen on a 6 week cycle where I would get  clusters of calls.  Now it happens every couple of months.  I think the only thing that would stop them is if I got a new cell phone number. But it is not worth the hassle it has gotten to the points that thier threats are almost amusing in the absurdity.

They keep calling me and harassing me just like everybody else. I am sick and tired of it and will continue to ignore them. The next time they call me i will call them out as scammers and tell to stop calling or i will call my lawyer and take legal action against THEM.

GOT A CALL AT MY WORK FROM THESE PEOPLE AND THEY SAID THE SAME THING ABOUT OWING MONEY TO THEM AND THAT AN ARREST WARRANT WAS OUT FOR ME AND THE SHERRIF WOULD BE COMING OUT TO ARREST ME. NEXT TIME THEY CALL THEY ARE GOING TO GET AN EAR FULL!!

says there is a law suit against my social and asking verification of social security number. Man is foreign and very explosive and threatening.

got a call from this number and if they call me again i'll either sue them or go to there office and deal with it myself, so this better stop now.

Same thing happened to me they called threats I told them they were scammers they got mad and quit calling

I recieved a call from these people and from all the posts I've been reading they have done the same thing to me.  They are harrassing me saying I have a lawsuit and that if I don't pay them they are going to have a warrent issued out for my arrest and I would spend 5 months in jail.  When I asked them to send me the information on the lawsuit they said they would call the police and have them come to my job and issue me the paperwork and then see what happens.  They really scared the hell out of me. I can't believe this is happening to so many people.

Same message. Guy had broken english and stated a lawsuit has been filed associated with my social and that I or my attorney need to call him back ASAP.  The person they asked for was not me. What a bunch of bs. SCAM! Do not talk to these people.

Brian,   I wouldn't worry one minute over them.  They are scammers and are only trying to scare you into paying them money.  They can't come and throw you in jail.

I just received a message from this number and the caller stated his name was Mike Brown and when I told him this was a businness and to stop calling here, I hung up and he called right back asking me why did I hang up on him and demanded that I repeat the number that he recited to me and when I told him I didn't have to he stated he didn't believe me and then told me "F" you. Don't know why it is these people can call and just talk to people any kind of way on their jobs and harrasse them. Something needs to be done. He said he was calling from a law firm

I got a call this morning (2/11/13) stating that my name and SSN were cited in a laesuit and that they wanted me or my legal counsel to call them back. They said that they could not be held responsible as my SSN was noted within the state (they did not identify what state) and that they could not prevent what happened next if I failed to contact them.
I immediately went to reverse phone look-up which returned no info. A google search brought me here so I hope that this helps the collective....

Caller from this number is foreign so I can't really understand what they are saying but they keep calling early mornings and late nights they leave me messages in a harassing way they have even called my place of employment harrrassing me

I received a call from this number and they left a voicemail which said that I had a lawsuit that came up and there was a lawsuit matching my name and SS number and that I needed to call them back immediately.  When I called the phone picked up and hung right up.  Then they called back about two hours later and said I needed to call Adam Spencer and extension 101.  I waited a few minutes and they guy called me back again asking my why I hadn't called back and that he was free to talk to right now.  I called back and just left a message.  No one has called back since. I should have known something wasn't right because it was Saturday.  What paralegals work on those kind of cases on a Saturday afternoon.  It happened on February 9, 2013

Said it was a law office of John best.
And they were taking me to court , for a loan I never got or even applied for

Caller stated there was going to be a lawsuit against my name and social security number.  Stated that if I didn't call, they would call my employer and it wasn't their fault if I lost my job.  Stated his name was Eric Johnson and when I called back, there was no answer.
