It was a robo call offering lower rates, I hung up and have now blocked it.  Do Not Call is a failure.

It's an old, intellectual, scholarly hippie calling from his Mod Department in the Santa Cruz Mountains. He's attempting to call people at random hoping to converse with them by inducing common sense and rational thought to his fellow American's. Since this virtue is lacking in so many, this wonderful old intellect will attempt to speak to individuals in a soothing manner, hoping to convert those who support war, violence, gun ownership, corporate greed, abusing the planet of its precious resources, population growth and those who don't believe in global climate change.
He hopes that with some straight, rational talk he'll be able to convey a very thought provoking message to those who think otherwise. He's a wonderful man that is a realist, scientifically grounded in his beliefs, and was educated in the greatest universities in America and Europe. He possesses several Ph.D's and was a professor at various colleges and universities for three decades. His liberal views are what builds intelligence, character, sensitivity, integrity and rational, logical thought.

His hopes are that if he's able to convert just one ungrounded individual that it'll be a victorious moment.

Supposedly it's March of Dimes doing fundraising. I'm sure it's a scam. There are numerous con artists out there using the names of authentic charities and businesses in a fictitious, devious manner. Even many authentic charities have much to be desired in terms of their credibility and honesty. Just think twice before donating your cash only to allow some fat cat running a charity to prosper.

Called back and number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.  Spoofing CRIMINAL for sure now.

This number called. Caller ID: MOD DEPT. Let it ring. I did not pick up. I never pick up the phone if I don't know the party. If they don't leave a message on the first phone call, I put them on CALL BLOCK forever, and if they need to get hold of me, they must send a snail-mail letter. I assume this is yet ANOTHER party trying to part me from my money, whatever that money may be, big or small. BEWARE ? BEWARE ? BEWARE.

They called and left no message.  All these people do is fish for gullible people who will give information so they can rip them off. Do-Not-Call list is useless. Sometimes I think that they get the DNC list and use it as a valid telephone number listing and call those numbers.

Call from (760) 655-3022 to my Google Voice. Mortgage Company peddling lower rates. They've been BLOCKED!

I gotta call from 760-655-3022 - Thought it was from my BroMance Marine Buddy at Camp Pendleton ... Dude is HE HOT or WHAT ?!   Was disappointed when it was the "MOD DEPT"  - - - 'was ready for a night of hot stuff with my BroMance Marine Buddy . . .

1/6/2012 Received phone call @ ~ 5:00 pm pst, but had caller ID, did not pick up. Caller did not leave msg.

Message left consisted of connection sounds of a FAX modem and then it disconnected.

Filing complaints with the FTC is another scam.  They don't do any thing until they get 1 million complaints.  Even then they have only written complaint letters to 23 telemarketers since they went in existence.  How many Federal workers do you think we pay to write 23 letters?  It's just one more rip off of the American public.
Who do you think pays for the political campaigns of these blundering buffoons?  We have the government we deserve.  It won't end until it collapses from the weight of its own blubbering greed.
