unknown caller and debtor they're requesting

Two calls today, 1/25/11 both left voice mail without a message, just silence.  First call was from 760-709-7678 and the second was from 760-201-4549.  I found this website by running the 709 number.  

So far
I have received calls from 760-709-7678 on 1/25, 1/7 and 1/4/2011 and from 760-201-4549 on 1/13 and 1/25/11, all calls left silent messages.

I had CMRE call me 3 times today.  They have started calling me daily.  I am not even the person who they are trying to reach.  It says to press 5 if the number no longer belongs to that person, so I do and they just call back later.  I finally blocked their number today.  I am sick of it!

8AM TO 9PM (YOUR TIME NOT THEIRS) IS THE LAW!!!!

See my numerous posts above.  They hang up when I answer with my business name. They hang up when I answer with my name. They hang up on my business answering machine.  Month after month after month and sometimes five times per day.  Some kind of psycho?

JERK LIST.  See my September 9 post. Posts above mention legality of calls.  There does not seem to be anybody regulating calls.  If you report one number, they switch to another number.  The aggravating thing about my calls is they are calling for a woman that had my number 15 months ago.  I got the number three months ago for my business and was told that the number had been unused for a year.  Everybody and his uncle is trying to collect from this woman.  A few outfits, like Wells Fargo, actually left a message that I could respond to and I called them back and established that I am merely the new owner of the phone number and have nothing to do with the woman.  The other JERKS just keep calling and hanging up on me or on my answering machine.

i was called 5 times in one day and the calls were 10 minutes apart. to top it off the voice mail they leave sounds like they forgot to hang up there phone  and were driving with there window down. in other words they called me from a cell. what kind of collection agency uses cell phones  to call there clients?

I believe no collection agency can call you more than 2 times in one day. In some states it is only 1 call a day and the amount of days per week they call is limited. Check with your local state laws about harassment and the federal FCRA Guidelines.

They cannot call you 1 second after 9:00 pm your time. Get the documentation (phone bill and take a pic of caller id) and file a complaint with the FCRA and request restitution

They are not allowed to call past 8 PM or before 8 AM irregardless of time zone.

JERK LIST. See my 8/30 post above. That was four calls.  JERKS called six times on 9/8 and stayed on long enough each time to trigger the answering machine so the could slam the phone down.

collectors,I had health ins,but they never bill them, now 2 years later(no ins) they are harrasing me to pay.
my fico went down,they are like blood suckers.I don't have any blood to give (unemploy).

I got a call tonight at 9:07 pm and I am in the same time zone. If someone knows the law please let me know if its illegal for them to call that late.

I got a call from this number with an automated message saying they had a debt to collect. All my bills are payed automatically and I have never received a notice otherwise that I am late on a bill. I also do not have any debt so I assumed it was a spam call.

Oh yes CMRE collections again!
