I'm very sad to know that there are people who get calls such as these, but I'm happy to know that I'm not alone. Having this site to check erroneous and scam messages is helpful. From what it looks like, the "caller" identifies himself or herself from the biggest bank in the region and tries to extract your account information to "reactivate" your account, which will allow the cyber or tele-criminal to empty your account. A confidence scheme that is particularly heinous.

Got this message today.  I have no accounts with Huntington Bank Indianapolis

Both my coworker and I received a text stating Call 7608430016.Indianapolis-HuntingtonBank

I got the same msg as ec received.
On Verizon you can forward the text to 7726 (SPAM) to report it.

Just received text from "myhuntig@vtext.com" saying "Call 7608430016.Indianapolis-HuntingtonBank" - thanks for all the posts - had a hunch it was spam since we don't have any accounts with Huntington but nice to see it confirmed as spam when googled the number

This is a new scam. Report them to your bank asap. Do not give any info. They will clean out your account.

just received a text from hntig@vtext.com saying call 7608430016 Indianapolis Huntinnton Bank- first off I never have nor do I currently bank there. This has to spam and it makes me mad.

Received text from 7883480@vtext.com.  same thing - please call 7608430016.  Googled it to find this string.  Saved it as a contact and typed in SCAM - DON'T CALL.  Thanks for the heads-up

Just got the same and it says 4737@vtext.com.  Account Issue Beneficial Bank.  I hate this crap.  I knew to jump online and see what I found.  No surprise, it's scammers.

5th text message in 2 days. Text says account issue with Beneficial Bank. No accounts at Beneficial.

I just got same message.  If you call the number, they ask for account details to reactivate account.

Both my husband and I received the same test message today from 23921 @vtex.  Thanks to this website we knew to ignore the message.

I rec'd a text message from 23921@vtex which also said Cumco Fcu Please call 7608430016 Account Issue...so I looked up reverse call and then put in Cumco Fcu in the computer and the company came up in my state so I called them and they told me they were receiving thousands of calls it is a scam and do not give out your debit number which Is what they are asking for. So be safe and careful everyone and use your common sense and do not reply to these criminals who are trying to clear out your bank accounts. Have a good day.
