I just now got a call from Carlson Law offices in Encinitas, and a man named Steve Davis, He says there is an arrest warrant out for me and that I must surrender my Social Security number and $500 through my credit card, or else I will be picked up at work this afternoon, in handcuffs. Good luck in collecting, as I recorded the voice and turned it over to a private investigator who has a voice soundwave identifier. And, I know that this number is traceable to the San Diego area, and has been quite mobile...

Just got a call from this number saying his name wad David James ,and he had an obviously foreign accent, and his name was David James.  Said I had won a million dollars from Publisher Clearing House but I needed to go to the Post Office and send a $100 money order to Bobbie Hale at 1026 Gibsnonville Road in Huntington, Tx. 75949.  I Googled Publisher Clearing House and all the scam info was on the website with an 800 number to call and report the fraud scam.  I reported the above info and they report to the to the Federal law enforcement agency

Calling and claiming to be Publishers Clearing House!!!! My biggest concern is that he called my cell phone and I usually only get these calls at home. I have recently searched for employment and have listed my cell# for primary contact, I hope this isn't the source of the leak of my #.

i received a call from this number saying I took out a pay day loan and send payment western union which is a scam. I never took out a pay day loan.

Have been receiving calls from this number almost a year.  States his name is Isu Kumar.  Will call multiple times a day.

Message left on my answer machine this afternoon, stating that a law suit has been filed against me and my social security number, and that either me or my attorney had to call back and not to ignore this.  The accent was terrible, really hard to understand.  I called the number back, was treated to someone calling himself Jake McGlynn from Carson Law Firm,  He have me a case number, and transfered me to his chief attorney.  I was told to speak clearly since the phone call was being recorded.  He knew my address, and said that my home and my social security number were under investigation, because I had borrowed money from Cash Net Marketing online, and that the money had been paid into my bank account, all untrue.  He asked me what I was going to do about the law suit, and I told him that the first thing I was going to do was to call the police and then I was going to call the social security office.  He got quite irrate, and said that the police were going to come and get me, and that I would have to go to court.  I knew this was a scam, but it still really upset and unsettled me and I was shaking when I came off the phone.

I recieved a call from a guy named Steven smith saying he was from a  carlson law firm that i had taken a pay day loan out in amount of 650 and they tried to take the money out of my account and it was not open no more. I told him i never had a bank in chase and we do nto even have those around where i live. He told me i could settle today out of courtand i said oh so if i pay this now i do nt have to go to court he said yes happily like i have a victem and i said oh ok i will just go to court! he hung up on me!!

I have just received a call from this guy. He stated there was a case against me & I needed tosend $ or I was going to jail . I asked him to verify my SS # but he said he couldn't give that info& I then asked to list the last 4 #s. He kept interrupting so I then stated    to contact my lawyer he said that he wasn't my servant .. Said f' you twice then hung up on me. My husband called the # back and asked if they were informed that they have someone working for them that speaks to people so harshly. He then offered our attorneys # and they hung up on him. For some reason it will not allow me fix my typing errors sorry. * I asked him to take my attorneys # down. He stated he wasn't my servant , I asked him to verify the last 4 digits of my SS # he became very angry , cursed then hung up. This is a scam! No one can tell you that they can not provide you -your own info if it does pertain to an open legal account. Beware of the man who can not speak English very well that demands $ ir you will go to jail! But won't tell you why-or what it pertains to.

I've gotten about 15 calls from this number. First time a guy left a message for someone else, not me and said I was in big trouble and to call or have my attorney call or there would be more trouble. Today they called my cell phone 9 times while I was at work. They keep asking for this other person. In one message today caller said she was Elizabeth Smith and worked for Carson Law Firm and if I didn't take care of this and call back they would send the police to my job and have me arrested. First of all they don't even have my name right and second I want to see them come to my work and arrest me - I work in a prison! When I got off work today I they called my cell, they asked to speak to ____ (this other person) when I told them this was not who they were calling, they asked me if I was sure. Caller was hard to understand and kept wanting to argue with me. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said she was supervisor and I told her no I want to talk to someone else. So I get this other female on the phone that can barley speak English. I asked if there was someone else there that could speak clearer and she said she could speak good English. Glad to know I'm not the only one getting calls from these idiots.

I got the call from the same company, and my caller ID showed Palm Springs, CA. This was also from Carlson Law Firm a man with a heavy accent and telling me he has a lawsuit pending with my name and SS#, I forwarded it on to a detective friend in the fraud Dept at my local police station.

My wife got the same phone call. He said to her that she had a $ 7,000.00 dollars loan that she never paid back. After some argument she hung up. Whwn I came home from work, I called that number and realized his stupid accent. I told him to speak clear so i could understand. I said to him that I was the husband of the person he said owe $ 7,000.00. He told me that in fact that was true. After he said that to me I tol him to have his attorney contact me, I said because you are full of s.... After that he told me to f.....off and hung up on me.

Received a phone call from this number.The person claimed that there is a lawsuit against me under my name and social security number.I told them to send this info by mail and they said that they were not my servant,my wife got on the other phone and ripped into them pretty good,and he just kept talking as if ignoring evrything we said.We told them straight up to stop calling here and go and try scamming somebody else and we hung up.I felt at that these people are attempting to get peoples social security number by using fear tactics.The local authorities should pin point down this outfit
and throw them in jail.As we all know do not give out your social security to just anyone they will use it to drain you of all your assets .Todays date is October 21,2011.

They don't speak English well at all and were extremely rude when asked several times to have someone who spoke clearly talk to me.  I couldn't understand their name but they said that I owed the Loan Company Cashnet Marketing and would be taken to court.   I told them to send me information regarding this issue and was told to fight it at the court house.  I said this is a scam and don't call me again.

I received a call from Steve Smith saying he represented a carlson law firm stating that i am listed as a primary suspect in case downloaded against my social security number, and asked me or my attorney to call back. I suspect it is a scam.

I just got a call from Roger Hardy who could not even speak english...said i owed 150 from 2010..told him I make over six figures and why the hell would I need a 150 loan...got into a verbal argument and he hung up...I have been calling back fukin with him all night...now they continue to call back and talk s***....classic!!!

I got the same call from someone claiming to be Jennifer Jackson, saying there was a lawsuit against my husband and they had all his info - including his social security number.  I told her I thought it was a scam and hung up.  She called back - and this time I was mad.  I answered the phone asking what her name was, as well as the company she was calling from.  Said it was a law firm called Carl's Law Firm.  Yeah, right.  I told her I was going to google it and would be calling HER back.  Then I googled the number and found this!

I received a couple of phone calls from a Mr. Steve Smith stating that I need call him back along with my attorney since I'm in BIG trouble with the law and I owe money for a payday loan.  This is not the first time I've been scammed by these middle eastern a$$ holes.  Because of them, I am filing bankruptcy so they need to send me their so called bill.

Got a call from there also about a month ago, said his name was shane and that I was deliquent on a payday loan that I never received, told me my bank acct number and routing (that I have now changed), my address, phone number, ss number (that now has a fraud alert on it). Went down to the police station and they listened to my voicemail from him and they couldn't do anything (they did call him and when he found out they were a cop he hung up on them). Two weeks later he called me at work, I told him never to call me again that I had filed legal action against him (which I did) and he wanted to know why.  Today I got another phone call from this number only this time he was officer so and so...couldn't understand anything he said except for that I needed to call him ASAP.  Went to the police station again, she googled the number and found this so now I"m posting, cuz they couldn't do anything.  Be wary of your phone calls and what information you put online.  That's how he got mine.

steve smith called me too. what jerks lol why do people waste their time doing these scams?! how do they get our personal info? I just caught a virus? maybe they got my info that way...what do you think? Im not comfortable with these people having my info,how can I report them? can they do anything with my info?

I got that same call from brain davis saying I owe money with my last four SS and I told them they where going to call the cops

This number has said he is calling from Afganistan, we are worried that he is trying to find out employee information.

This man have been calling me all daym well finally I call the local plolice and the phone # was a fraud company.....

he just called me and said he was with some law office. He sounds like he is from India. I hung up.

I am getting the same calls this past month - cel, home, and work phone. The guy with heavy accent said I owe them money. I was ignoring it so far, but want this phone calls to stop especially at work. Does anyone have any idea what can we do?

This guy has called me like 4 times in the last few days.  Don't know anything and haven't answered the calls.

A group of scammers that will try to get you to give them credit and banking information. They are very persistent and will change name of company, law firm, sweepstakes, even portray a government agency that gives grants. If you challenge them the become rude, vulgar and will hang up on you only to call back with a different name or company. The only way I think they got my wife's info is that at one point she applied online for a payday loan. Don't be fooled. All collection agencies will send you documentation in the mail and will give you the federally required statement about collections, even if it is an attorney. D not give them any more information. I just hang up when the call.

The most recent was officer Scott Taylor ( Indian guy with heavy accent) says he is calling regarding a government agency that has forwarded him my info regarding fraudulent activity with my identity and he goes on to read the last 4 of my social. Then he says that I'm going to get sued. To call him or to have my attorney call him. --- what a joke...

I wish I knew what else to do to make them stop. Any Ideas would be appreciated.
