763-370-9716 reported on my caller ID at 9:59A on Jan 10, 2010 after hanging up with this guy supposedly from "Account Services".  He said he just wanted to verify my billing address and bank name.  My home telephone number is on the Federal DO NOT CALL list.  Here is the link if you would like to register your number... http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/donotcall/

I received the same type of call from the same number. I asked them to name the accounts and the banks, along with the names of the credit card holder, and they refused stating that they were not allowed to do that. They continued on, stating that they had mailed me info re/the matter, and that I had ignored their mail. They never did such a thing. When I then told them to tell me the number that they were trying to call, along with the person, they HUNG UP ON ME! SLAMED THE PHONE IN MY FACE!!
Now .....I was fuming, and was going to demand to speak with a supervisor, and called the number back as it appeared on my caller id. I got some recording of some fool mumbling at the other end. in short....BE CAREFUL IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THIS DUDE!!! Next time he calls.....I will be CALLING THE FEDS!!! NO JOKE!!!

This is a phishing call trying to get credit card information.  They will hang up on you if you ask questions, and they will not stop calling.  I have reported this number to the do not call complaint website

Just received a call. I get these call many times a month. They are making me mad.
As with so many above, I pressed #1. It was answered by a woman. I too challenged the validty of the call and was hung up on. I called the number back and received a message that the mail box was full. WHAT A SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a call from this number offering the same information.  After pressing one for more information, I told her to take my number from her list and was hung up on.   Have received other similar calls in the past.

Same problem - have been getting these calls twice a day - when I did "press 1" to speak to a representative, I mentioned the "no call" list and that I wanted them to cease and desist - they just hung up on me, so I strongly suspect more calls are forthcoming

Our # is on Do Not Call List.  When we told them to take off our # from their calling list, rep said it would take 10 days for that to occur.

They also call from 402-982-0468 IXE on caller ID. Just filed a complaint in regards to the National Do Not Call registry. I urge you to do the same. The only way to see that justice is done. They will just hang up if you mention the Do Not Call list.

Charlie, I got the account services automated call to cut my credit card rate.  I pressed 1 to speak to a customer service rep or somebody but got nothing.  1) If this was a legitimate company why didn't they use a land phone?  This is a cell phone number.  2)  My number is blocked by that don't call registry.  So even if they were legitimate, they aren't supposed to call anyway.  I certainly didn't give them my phone number, so this is an illegitimate business and up to no good.  Yes they are scamming for credit card numbers and to do identity theft.  Below should have another call type - thieves or scam operation.

Just got a call from (763) 370-9716, and I had to press 1 to get a human.  Said their company name was ?Account Services?, which made me suspicious, and they work with all CC companies to get rates down.  Said the service is only offered if CC debt was over $4K and at least one account is in good standing and not maxed out to the credit limit.  They wanted a CC # and the CC co. Customer Service number to call the CC co. to verify my good standing.  I said I would never give that out on a cold call.  He said they only needed the number, not the security code used when making purchases and charges.  I said no way.  He said my account was fully protected under  some law or act, and that I needed to extend them a certain amount of trust so they could lower my rate.  I said sorry, no way, and he said he was only a trainee and diverted me to a supervisor.  She gave me the same line, and wanted to know account balances.  (In retrospect, I am wondering if they may be looking for open, dormant accounts where additional charges might not be noticed....)  I said if they had my name, they could determine that themselves, but that all my accounts are on autopay, so all are in good standing, so I am not authorizing any account access, even for an inquiry.  She said I needed to extend them a certain amount of trust for them to help me get my CC rates down.  I said that did not extend to giving out identity theft information over the phone on a cold call.  She said ?then we won?t be able to help you get your rate down?.  I said okay, thanks, goodbye and ended the call.
