I got 15 calls from this number in 1 day.  I did not recognize the number so I did not pick up.

3/14/13  11:30am - three rings and hangs up.

Robo caller previously called on 2/25/13  11am and talked over my answering machine - robo about medical life saving alert.

I do not answer unknown caller or number thanks to my caller ID.

What I've been doing lately, if I'm here to catch the call and recognize the number (unwanted), is to just pick up the phone, and immediately hang it up (I don't bother listening; just hang up).  I had heard years ago that callers, such as collection agencies, are not allowed to call you more than once per day, or it's considered harassment.  Another thing I have found helpful is to set the number of times (you may have to have this set by your phone company) the phone rings, before voice mail or your answering machine kicks in, to 6-8 rings.  Most of these unwanted callers will hang up after 4 rings--I'm guessing that this is either because they want to engage with "captive" audiences (people who are just waiting for someone to call them), or they/robocallers aren't about to waste time staying on the phone for more than 4 rings.

You need to tell them to "put you on their do not call list."  I don't think you can tell them to "take you off their list," as they don't have one.  I have no faith in the national do not call list.

I get calls from this number on a regular basis despite being on DNC registry for years. Can't find a way to make it stop. Very annoyed

2/25/2013  11am - robo dialier, robo message started over my answering machine message.  deals with life alert system for seniors that is recommended by first alert services and they are offering it to me for free.  can you even imagine?  definite senior target and will be scamming some that fall for the scare tactic.  DNC is unable to keep up with the scammers because they use fake numbers and constantly change the fake number.  IT is important that you do not follow ANY of their directions .  What makes anyone think the scammers are interested in removing your number?  Ignore unknown and hang up.

Just had the call come in at 9:30 AM this morning. (Shows it is a land line ) No one on the line...When I tried to call it back I was told I had reached a number that was no longer in service! So how did it call me this morning???

I found a reference to Global Crossing. I believe that is one of those companies that provides telephone services.

Frequently these companies serve as a screen for scam artists.

I answered this call and it was "dead air" on the other end. Still pressed 1 to see if that would do anything and still dead air so hung up.
Later I called this number back and  got this response = the number U have dialed is not in service or is assigned to another area code. Please check the number........

Got a phone call from this number on 2-18-13 and it certainly sounds like a scammer - targeting senior citizens ...will report to commerce dept and phone company

You need a Panasonic cordless DECT phone set.  Allows you to block up to 30 numbers.  It will ring once and hang up automatically.  Will do that to numbers that show no CID.  I have already filled mine with 30 numbers and had to delete some to add more.  Sure wish the states would go after these guys.

Being a Comcast customer that uses their phone service bundle, I've taken advantage of both the call screening and selective call forwarding features.  So, I selectively forwarded the above number to itself a couple of weeks ago (and have forwarded several other known telemarketing phone calls to the above number).  Once in awhile I check my Comcast phone call log (answered calls, received calls, missed calls, etc.) and sure enough, this nasty phone number is, indeed, going back to itself.  It happened again an hour ago.
HA!  My little electronic revenge in place of the Fed's DNC list (which I've been for over a year) and it works.  Might I suggest others who have a selective call forward feature do the same thing.

They call me two to three times a day.  I once waited for a live person.  I asked to be taken off the list and she hung up on me.  I have received five more calls since then.  I thought this was against the law.

Call regarding senior medical equipment.

Scammer using an autodial to sell you medical alert.  There message is saying they ar with a diabetes organization and another.  I hit 1 to connect and was disconnected. In the past a was transferred to a live person and as soon as I started to say I am not a Sr. citizen, they disconnected me.  I am also on a business phone # and they call me 1 to 2 times per week for the last 6-8 months.  Quite annoying.  I really would enjoy finding out the governement fined them 1 billion for their fraudulent annoying calls, stop the calls and throw them in prison somewhere. Please help....

The person here answered after 2 rings and said 'Hello" and there was NO response on the line. Said "Hello" a second time and still NO response so hung up the phone.

Later, I called the number back and there was "dead air" for about 20 seconds and then a fast different sounding busy signal sounded on the line.

My guess it was a SCAMMER call of some sort.

These SCAM callers are forging a local number so U are more apt to pick up.

They keep calling me about senior medical response equipment.  The want to sell me something and I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  I get a call at least once a week.

Scammer, known from other telephone numbers.  Recorded call asking about senior citizens.  Reported to Do Not Call Registry.
