Just read John's post from January 2013 & I turned off fake calls & saw that Ishmial was in as name for fake name. Hope this helps. I also have a Verizon based phone

I've received a call from this number MANY times...most recent on January 29. The Caller ID always reflects 'Ishmial', but never shows in my call history & each time I answer....dead silence. Also I know nobody named Ishmial & that name isn't in my contacts list. Glad to see this number is showing up on other phones. weird.

I'm also a Verizon Wireless customer. Let's all answer the phone when "he" calls and just not say anything.

i get the same thing except when i answer all i hear is the wicked witch music playing  then the call doesn't show up on my recent calls. and the weirdest thing yet is that it says it is from my mom when i was standing right next to her.

Caller appears as if it is coming from "work".......its just a happy birthday tune.

This is the number that Verizon uses for their "Fake Call" feature on some of their prepaid phones. I kept getting calls from "RESTRICTED", and no one was ever on the line when I answered.

I looked up the problem and found that the "Fake Call" feature on my phone was turned on. The Fake Call feature allows you to press the speaker button four times (for instance, by reaching into your pocket), and then wait for 30 seconds and receive a "phone call". It could come in handy to get out of, say, a bad date or an uncomfortable conversation with a coworker.

After realizing that I wasn't being pranked, I played around with the settings. I changed the settings to make the fake call come from a person named "Tom", and recorded a message.

After pressing the speaker button 4 times, 30 seconds pass and then "Tom" calls me from 768-667-6409 and the phone plays the recording.

It is very easy to accidentally initiate a fake call when your phone is in your pocket. If you're getting calls from what seems to be a prankster, one of your friends has probably set your phone up to do this.

this number keeps calling me popping up as my now boyfriends full name, he doesn't have a phone and therefor I know its not him. i don't have minutes on my phone, but it will still ring and when i answer i cant hear anything bc my ringtone don't shut off and the call will stay connected as long as i don't hang up. it doesn't even show up in my recent calls. i personally believe its a fake calling app from the stupid app store.

This f****r appears on my phone as "loney Wife"  leaving the impression i may be cheating. then doent show up on my call log. but wait theres more. im picking it up on my blue tooth. if they dont stop im going 2 berry them alive in a box.

im a verizon user and have had this call come to me 4 or 5 times but its a recoreding of my voice saying something sexual to my girlfriend.

For the past year and half I have been recieving phone calls from this number.  Every time I pick-up--the birthday song tune plays over and over.  Sometimes the tune will even play as the RingTone--even if my phone is on silent.

i get the same call from the same number only it comes up as DEATH... glad i found this message board i was getting a little worried there and my phone is verizon as well.. what the hell

This f+++in number 768-667-6409 keeps calling and wen we answer the phone no one on the other end talks. I'm so irritated and I'm planning on switching to a different carrier. F**k verizon.

I get the same # 768-667-6409 and they say nothing and it comes up "Kimmie" and when I check my call logs there is nothing there, so I went into my settings and turn off my fake calls I hope that works.

this about the 4th of 5th time this has happened no one answers its not listed in my recent history. tried to call back and it doesnt exist...and it shows up as my name...

Obviously this does No good. Number still is anonymous.

i have verizon too... it displays as POLICE I called Verizon and they play stupid

I have received 3 calls from this number.  Each time it has happened, the caller ID list FAKE.  I answered the call twice out of the 3 times, and and was greeted by nothing but music - not sure the music, but it reminded my of something you'd hear playing from an ice cream truck.  Third time the number/FAKE called, I let it continue ringing and the voicemail never kicked in - It just kept ringing.  I let it ring for about 3 minutes before I hit the ignore call option.  WTF.  Some else posted that they "smell bacon" and believe that it is the police. Any thoughts on this?  Is this how law enforcement sets up unwarranted (or warranted) phone taps?

Oh, another odd thing is that after the first 2 times this happened, I received a call from a restricted number from a man I believe to have a Nigerian accent informing me that I just won $9,650,000 and a new Mercedes Benz.  I told him I didn't want and told me to go f*%k my mother and then I hung up on him.

this phone call comes in as DOG and it is never listed when i try to look it up.  the only reason i was able to post it today is because i answered it and only music plays...i keyed the number in google before the music went off.

This number calls my verizon cell phone repeatedly and comes up as "Tracy found".  Plays very loud music even if I have my cell on vibrate.  Never shows in history, incoming or missed calls

You know my gf was calls from this number on her Verizon business phone as well... It displayed as "TKMJ" so maybe it is Verizon trying to get you to upgrade...

We receive calls from this number on one of our Verizon business cell phones. It displays as "GET OUT". The number is unreachable and does not store on the phone as a missed or answered call. I will be calling Verizon to see if they can give us any resolution to the problem. I'm sure there must be many more people with this same problem, they just haven't posted a comment on here. Someone, somewhere is behind this, lets hope we can find and put a stop to this ridiculous annoyance!

Every time I receive a call from this number my phone answers automaticlly and there is never anyone there. Also, the number is listed as "Restricted" even though the number is clearly listed as well yet never shows up on my call log.

My service provider is Verizon, I wonder what provider the other people who receive calls from this number are. If they are all verizon, then I would suspect fraud from Verizon.

This isn't a telemarketer or even a real phone call. someone has gotten a hold of your phone and setup a fake phone call.  If you go into call settings and go to the fake call icon, you can turn it off and you will no longer receive calls from this number. you're welcome

I'm glad I'm not the only one the caller I'd is the president weird and when I answer the song telephone plays by lady gaga and if I ask anything all that will happen is the music keeps playing and it's two diff numbers that call me with the same thing and they call every month at late at night or early in the morning and we need to put a stop to this guy
