this is a company called Global Yellow pages - area code from the Atlanta area but the fellow on the phone did not sound local.  I have told them 15+ times to stop calling I am not interested.  if you call back says it is out of service.

Caller ID:770-247-5771 Caller is Global Yellow pages. Have told them repeately to take our number off their list, we are not interested. Called 2 times today 03-28-09 after being told not to call back. Man tells you it is Global yellow Pages and updating their listing for free. I stop him and tell him we are not interested and take us off calling list. If it continues I am going to report them to the Do Not Call List. Doesn't matter what time day or night he calls and you can't return the call.

This number keeps calling and hanging up calls as late as 9 and 10 PM no one on the other end.  I called back and the answering machine picked up I left a message not to call but they still do

We are called each day.

This Lady is very hard to understand...that right there is suspicious. She asks me questions that are an obvious yes and then she wants my address...I told her if she does not already have it I am not going to give it to her. She got upset and hung up on me. Now she calls and it is silence or she just hangs up. I called them back yesterday and it is a non working number.

This is a bogus company operating from India.  It basically just a scam operation and they do not provide any product or service.

I keep getting these calls, at weird hours and on weekends to my business number.  No messages are left.  I have no idea who this is, and so googled the number and found this page.  I would never do business with this company, so am not sure why they are frustrating their (potential) customer base with these phone calls.

They call me everyday, sometimes tqice a day. They don't say anything and when I call it back it says the number is not in service. How do I get them to stop?

We get a call from 770-247-5771 daily.  We have told them to stop calling each time and have been doing so for months.  They sound Indian and it has been the same two guys and girl.  They stated they were confirming our information for their "supreme computer" and it was for "local yellow pages" or "global yellow pages".  They will say they represent any company you suggest. They refuse to give us their names, address, company name, phone number, etc.  The person said he was not allowed to give out that information yet he insisted that we give him our full name , date of birth, address....  

I just called GlobalYP.NET and they informed me they had a call center in India.  The person on the phone was helpful.  I asked for a supervisor and a non 800 number at which I could reach them.  I was given:

Celina Tran, 785 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94103, 415-501-9130.  It is the same as the 800 number.  I spoke to Amy Wittmeyer.  She explained they do NOT call and have been working to find who is doing this.  They have been receiving many complaints about this.  Amy was very nice and helpful.

I think it has been established that 770-247-5771 is NOT GlobalYP.net.

If you are on the Do Not Call List - file a complaint, it only takes a second, and the FEDs will eventually fine them or shut them down.

I am the sales and advertising manager for GlobalYP.net and we are located in San Francisco, CA on Market Street. I am disturbed and very concerned that another company is using our name to harass and violate people. GlobalYP.net is not affiliated with this phone number and our company name: GlobalYP.net is displayed in the caller id, if and when we contact customers. I am working with our legal team to try and discover who this company is and get them to stop calling people and fraudulently using our name.

The GlobalYP.net team is dedicated to customer service, and complying with all telemarketing regulations. I hope that we are able to bring the proper criminals to justice. However, the use of our name and the accusations of our association with these disturbing phone calls, is very damaging to our small business. I am a representative for GlobalYP.net and these calls are in NO WAY associated with our company. We believe that the company that is calling these consumers is http://globalyellowpages.co.in, aka "Global Yellow Pages" located in India. We have stopped using calls centers to sell our online directories as of June 9th, 2009, so there is NO WAY the calls could be coming from us our the call centers we have contracted with in the past.

We are doing our best to try to stop this harassment because the number of people calling us, and saying that these calls are coming from us, continues to grow. This is the website of the company I believe is the culprit of these phone calls. NOT GlobalYP.net. The company listed above is actually called "Global Yellow Pages" and it is located in India. I have made an attempt to contact them and I, along with the GlobalYP.net legal team, will continue to do so, until we can resolve this issue. GlobalYP.net IS NOT in any way associated with this cramming/ harassment scheme.

The company that contacted you was not GlobalYP.net. I am an employee of GlobalYP.net and the number that you called is not, and has never been associated with GlobalYP.net. yes these guys call me every day  wans to get my info. look like a f road company if we call back ,they show not in service. be careful.

get calls all the time from these fruitcakes. called the number back after i talked to one of these "language unknown types". All it does is cut you off.

I've reported this company and have many times asked to be removed from their list, but they don't care nor will they actually do what they promise. Companies like this shouldn't be aloud to be in business!

Received a call from this number regarding yellow pages online...asked to verify information which I didn't...the next day my computer was compromised....coincidence?  I think not!  My hunch is that these calls are recorded and they intercept your dsl connection. They have called two more times over a 24 hour period. These people should be put in jail!!!

how annoying, these guys call me all the time, now it's been every day for the last 7 days, but i never pick it up.  i  called and confirmed it is Global Yellow Pages, they wanna sell you something.  some Indian guy picks up and said "it must be the sales dept", i am customer service".  he said they are located in San Francisco and didn't know why the area code was from GA.  i called 1.800.672.9588, told him to remove my number and he said he would put it in their "national do not call list".  we'll see.  i am also on the DNC registry, but the calls probably originate overseas.

770-247-5771 calls once a day, and has been calling for about a month now, they wont quit, they are relentless and rude and have no morals what so ever.  Good news is that this has happens every year around this time and lasts only about a month.  Best advice is not to even put the phone to your ear, anwser and hang up.  If you dont talk they cant record you, and have no reason to keep calling.

i have received calls from 770-247-5771 at all hrs of the night.i call it back and it says its not a working number.i went on intelius and they say the number is out of lilburn,ga type of phone paging and it doesnt let you dile if you try to block your no. they also have addresses in new york,peachtree city ,ga,and ketchikan,ak.i wish they had a do not call list for businesses.

Rec'd call today, broken English, wanted to update our listing with the Global Yellow Pages.  I told him I didn't want to update anything, heard him yelling at me as I hung up the phone.  I've had problems with these types of call before too, they charge your phone bill.  There should be a law against it.
