Really now, why then did you call me when I have never had ANY TYPE OF A VERIZON SERVICE EVER!
No land line, internet, wireless, nothing to be contacting me ever for any billing reason then!   If your records are that damn bad do not bother ever calling me then, I would much rather seeing this in a court of law!

They said they were Verizon and wanted to get my address information.  They said their bill came back so the address must be incorrect.  I told them goodbye then went online to Verizon.com to check.  My address was correct.

I agree, it is a scam, called just as I was walking into a business meeting....like they knew I was discussing this particular thing.....called it back cause it was a GA # no answer just beeping, scam, scam, scam, one way for them to get into your phone.

recieved a call from them . . . no message . . . read the posts and logged onto my Verizon account- I took a look at my online profile- address was bad . . . and had been for over a year . . . never recieved a call before . . . updated my mailing address . . . within a few minutes, recieved a confirmation text from Verizon's 900 number telling me that changes were made and if there was an error to call them @ *611.  I wish these people who put all this time into their frauds would apply themselves in a possitive manner-

This is a call center named Alorica! They are affiliated w/ Verizon wireless! Basically when Verizon tries to mailcustomers their billing statements or confirmation letters, the Post Office returns it back. It's Verizon's responsibility to find out why. So Alorica calls customers (on behalf of Verizon ) to verify /update mailing addresses. That's all.

Dude, playing that you are not an idiot, makes you a bigger idiot. I suppose Verizin pays you to be stupid too. I got the call that my billing statement was returned. So, I went to the kitchen and got my billing statements, one of which just arrived, and verified I got it. They hung up. Obviously a scam.

They are not affiliated with Verizon at all from what I see. Call Verizon and inquire about this to help protect yourself.

I just missed a call from this number. I did just move, so it would male sense that my billing statement might have missed being forwarded. I'll make sure to verify that my address has been changed....online via my account.

It was verizon, but it was 6:09 am.....not cool!  It was to let me know a # on my plan had been upgraded.  They couldn't have waited at least til 9?

I'd be far more likely to believe that you're legitimate if your grammar and spelling weren't so shoddy.

I just called Verizon and asked about this...this is a SCAM!!!  the Verizon rep was really nice; she said that this is NOT a legitimate Verizon number and to ignore the calls or don't answer any questions.

Funny thing about this number. They call my phone asking for my husband claiming to be from Verizon, then when I say he isn't available, not only will they not tell me anything, but when he tried to call them back FROM THE PRIMARY PHONE NUMBER, the call would not go through. Something seems a little fishy there. We wont be answering any more calls from this number.

I got to calls today from that number and we got disconnected both times, I tried calling back and got a ad then the line went dead. I decided to call verizon and this indeed LEGIT i told the rep I had just gotten a call she asked the time frame and then told me it was because they had received mail back and wanted to verify my address.

Annoying. I don't answer bc I don't answer calls from #s I don't know. I call back, hear an ad about wireless tablets, someone or something cuts the ad off and hangs up on me. The address excuse is crap, I'm willing to bet it's not at all to update information... being a month behind on my bill I'm guessing this is more to do with harassing customers who aren't paid up current. You know, "just checking to make sure you got the bill since you haven't paid us". My address is correct, I have my paper bill from this cycle. So its not ONLY to verify my address. I've been a VZW customer for seven years. Cut the crap.

Verizon wireless dept dealing with assumption of liability claims etc. ONLY Asked if i had permission to cancel second line and I said yes. not a scam.

they called once and asked about my address and then called back again 5 minutes later.

This number called me and said that my billing statement from Verizon was return to them, and that they needed to verify my address. I asked them to tell me the address that they had, and they said that they could not do that for security reasons. I told them I've never had a problem with my bill being delivered before. Then really quickly she said that I could verify online, told me to have a good day, and hung up really quick. I don't know if it was for sure a scam, but it seemed very strange.

It has something to do with some sort of Verizon notification.

we are not able to leave a message due to company policy for this department and it is a part of verizon wireless. we received either your billing statement or a confirmation letter regarding changes to your accnt, it was mailed to the address on your accnt but was returned by the us postal service. for an incorrect address or the customer moved or you forgot to list your appt or unit number with the address or frequently we see that it is simply a postal error in itself. we mean you no harm nor are we trying to do a collection call or steal your information. we have all of it right there. we simply want to update your address information, so your mail gets to you properly. we average about 70,000 pieces of returned mail a week. hum food for thought..when you move  change your address and if you dont get your bill, check your information with us. oh yeah they wont let us give out the address we do have on file for security purposes*****FOR YOUR PROTECTION***

Ya just had the same thing happen.  I asked him to verify what he was tracking my address was and he said he could only give me the city, state, and zip.  I laughed and hung up as well.
