I just started getting them as well. No info on Yellow Pages for them. My number is registered on the Do Not Call Registry and has been since August of last year.

this is why the govt and phone co's aren't doing enough.

Message machine took call.  No message left...  Had this number before with no messages.  We are also on the "no call" list.

I continue to receive calls on my mobile and no one answers and no one leaves a message... You go to call them back and the operator says that you are calling a number that is disconnected or no longer in service?

Please report your experiences to appropriate Local and Federal oversight agencies.

Stolen #'s could result in something far more serious than annoying phone/hang-up calls.

This number calls our house at minimum once a day.  I assume this scam artist is somehow linking his call through a stolen phone number.

This number has been calling about 4 times a day the past week.  Finally answered this morning and it was someone trying to sell home services (heavy accent reading from a script).  Am on the do not call list so will be reporting this one.

If you answer but don't say anything, someone eventually comes on the line.  Some guy with an accent so thick I could barely understand was trying to sell "home services."  I'm guessing general repairs, etc.  I asked to be put on the do not call list.  Next time, they get reported to FTC.

Your phone provider can help set up an automatic trace which will be forwarded to the Police Department.  You can also contact the Federal Trade Commission's "annoying" phone # at 877-382-4357 to file a complaint.

Just got another call...same ... answer and then there is a hang-up

The annoying hang-up calls continued today.  I issued an online complaint to the Federal Communications Commission.  If enough people follow thru maybe this nonsense can be stopped.

same happening to me.  they've called 6 times today and one time I heard spanish being spoken in the background!  I don't like this as someone could be trying to bootleg my number.

Okay...this is a phone company problem!  I called someone in the neighborhood who had a listing for Mrs. Abernthy's cell number.  I called her.  They sold that house last November to a relocation company, moved out of state and dis-connected the home phone number.

Another call from this idiot.  The address is in Country Club of the South.  I've got a call into a friend who lives there to see if she knows this man.  I think the next time I'm in the area, I will leave a message in his mailbox!  For those of you in the Atlanta area, his info is:

calls from this # 770-346-9904 come in several times a day.  Very annoying.  I never answer and based on prior comments probably a good thing.

I got another call from this number.  You are able to block the call by dialing *60 and then the number.  I believe there is a nominal charge for this.

call came in at 7:01 PM 5/3/2010.  After answering, caller hung up.

Got a call at 11:56 a.m. with hang up. Shows "Out of area."

Yep, same thing happened.  Didn't leave a message and when call back, says it's out of order, but rings too many times for that to really be the case.

Just called now (4/22/2010).  If you call the number back, the "out of service" message is a fake.  They've put it as the recording on their voice mail.  Definitely a scam.
