I left a message and told him I had called an attorney, that unless he can send you proof of the debt, you will no longer take his calls. He will probably quit calling then, he just wants someone who he can take advantage of, don't back down he wants you to be afraid of him.

he also calls from number 312-254-6928, he said his name is Detective Buckles, uses the same attorney name though.

Larry Johnson keep calling me cause he say I owe a debt but want show proof. I called the bbb they told me do not pay him nothing cause they do not have a richard k smith in georgia . Tell me I am going to jail I said show me proof he can not tell me nothing. Every time you call his voice is on the voice mail and no one else. Dam get a real job like everybody else.

I received a call from Mr. 'Johnson' at 12:03 pm, April 18th, 2013. He left a message on my voicemail, which I saved. I would provide a transcript of said message, but his mush-mouthed style of speech made it hard to understand. I called him back at 1:41 pm the same day, having to spell out my first and last name for him, and he began to tell me some story about how I had taken out a pay-loan advance (for the sum of $566.22) and would get charged with some type of fraud if I didn't go to my local Walgreens, purchase something called a 'money pak,' and send him some sort of 14 digit code on said money pak, I would end up with a warrant out for my arrest, or some such nonsense. I asked him how he managed to get all this information when he didn't even know my name, and he fed me some line about finding my cell number through the social security number provided to pay-loan company. When I pointed out that one can only withdraw a maximum amount of $300 a day from an ATM (with my particular type of checking account,) he put me on hold for about two minutes. When he came back, he asked me if I had my debit card on me, at which point I promptly hung up on him. The following website tells of other complaints against this fake company, apparently earlier this year he was attempting the same scam with a different phone number.

I recieved a call from this Larry Johnson stating I owe a payday lone that I never took out not recieved he said it was put into my back account and norther me nor my bankers have seen it we just blow it off they want to send the cops then they better send the proof that I took it out because I will have my proof I never took it And they change the number to 770-990-8597

Thank god I read this post because I was on the way to money gram then I thought about why all the sudden he was calling blocked and I went on my iPhone looked up Richard k smith and associates scam and this showed up . I should have been more careful and asked more questions but the way he presented the situation to me was clever with the section code number and sounding professional kind of got me like this is real I can go to jail. Thank god for you guys because I would have sent my car note money to this low life.

claims that he has a restraint on me...this is a joke. I'm the most peaceful person on the planet. I blocked his number with Mr. Number. He's an idiot.

He used to call cell phone, now he calls home phone.  Makes threats and we have no idea what he is taking about.  When we call back later he claims he never has called us.

Said i had to pay money or a case would go to court,never heard of this payday loan before and never got anthing in the mail for any payday loan, i think this is a scam and i told him to vo ahead and send it to court,the ftc told me they have to send to a bill in the mail before anything can be done a they can't threatin you with being charged with fraud.

I have been calling HIM and harassing him non stop. I call all hours of the day and night. He gets so annoyed, he shuts his phone off. My suggestion, file a complaint with FTC and then keep calling him. Wake him up at midnight. Call him every hour. That's what people like him deserve.

Mr Larry Johnson keeps calling to resolve a debt. He started friendly,then as I asked for proof etc... became increasingly threatening. Calls any time night or day. His "company" number goes to answering machine with his voice on it.

Still calling me. What do I do? When I looked up the company he says hes from and called, his voice is on their answering machine. He is calling nonstop any hour day and night!

Payday loan scam run by criminals in India. Ignore the calls, they can do NOTHING to you.

This number is Larry Johnson from what he says is Richard K Smith associates calling about a supposed cash advance that i supposedly didnt  pay but i wasnt able to get him to send me the proof of this he has threatened me with going to Jail and now garnishing my wages and taking my income tax and cussing at me saying F--- You unless he provides something in writing dont send him anything i made the mistake of sending some money per money pak then i was advised not to send anymore without proof he said he couldnt send it cause it had my ss number on it . This gentleman is very obnoxious and threatening
