They have called several times, I finally answered it and it was a woman who sounded very young. She asked to talk to my boyfriend and when I asked who was calling she said it was personal and hung up.

Harry Anderson I think was the judge on Night Court. Stephanie cook couldn't think of better name?

called them back after they left a message on my unlisted home number for a deceased relative who never used this number and doesn't owe anyone any money. they hung up on me, twice, refusing to listen to the message they left so that they would have the context. further calls will be considered further harassment.

Lisalevek 2012-04-03 21:30:44 Unknown
She spoke with my young daughter today and seemed polite. My daughter is 10 and described her as sweet. It's collections for St Joseph's hospital. I owe it. Just forgot.

I received a voicemail from Stephanie Cook just like the others said but when I called back the message actually said Stephanie Cook and asked me to hold. After 2 or 3 minutes I just hung up figuring they'd call back if whoever she works for wants there money. The funny thing is I see a lot of people saying it's for outstanding medical bills but I've never been hospitalized a day in my life & any visits to the doctor's office were covered by insurance and a co-pay. So I don't see how I could have an outstanding medical bill.

This is a collection agency. I owe a Dr. Bill for St. Joes. Jean Brown is the person I deal with directly. When I called the number back, I heard a message "Hello you have reached Stephanie Cook, I am on the phone. If you would like to speak with me, please hold", Jean Brown answered.

I had a car accident December 2010. Completely covered by insurance. I received a phone call today, 10 months later, a message from "Stephanie Cook". Did not say why she was calling or from where. I do not owe money, it would damage/show up on my credit, March 2011 I joined the military, & I have since received a top secret security clearance. Outstanding debt + service member does not = security clearance. Just saying. It is possible their records are wrong or somebody didn't fax what they were supposed to.

Gee, and you figure that no one ever gets an incorrect call or scam call, right. Read all the posts; sounds like Stephanie is about 20 women doing collection calls, some of which may be correct, some of which are obviously not. If the calls were legit, then a message with a call back number that is correct would be in order. So, if you really owe the money, you could contact them to pay your $5 or $500. Do you work for a collection agency? You are rude enough. So...is your name Peggy?
Bill B 2011-07-29 21:47:24 Unknown
Lexy, are you a friend of Stephanie's? Or are you Stephanie's alter ego? If it's legit, she has the name and phone number of the patient who owes whatever they owe, and in order to earn her check, she should be leaving messages with clear, concise info. No pay from you, no pay for the company. In order to get people to pay, you need to get them to talk to you first. Mental sticky: If you're on the level, there probably won't be anything about you here, because your interaction with the folks you call will be polite, and within the Fair Credit act's guidelines. Don't see too many people on here saying who called...they were so polite I want to be sure I don't miss the next one...

That's funny because she called me and said I had outstanding medical bills from her office. Needless to say I have no outstanding medical bills. So much for a valid collection attempt.
honest 2011-06-15 22:12:26 Unknown
Yup, collection agencies call you when you ignore your bills. Welcome to America idiots. I love how you' all act so innocent, haha. Yeah, I'm sure none of you owe any money which would explain why a collection agency is calling you. Idiots.

This is a collection agency and she is rude. She laughed at me. Get a real job Stephanie Cook...lol..like that is her real name. I have reported them as was stated in posts above. NEVER answer this number and call them back if they do not tell you who they are and hang up. Losers!!!
Karen 2011-06-01 23:56:40 Unknown
Treat people the way you would like to be treated :) Kindness=kindness and rudeness=rudeness. I had a pleasant experience with this office today. Very reasonable and easy to work with.
Jeannie 2011-05-31 14:53:10 Unknown
Not everyone who gets a call from this rude woman is a dead beat who does not pay their bills. What about the elderly who get jack to live on and are very ill with cancer and can not pay the 20% that the government does not pay! Then are told they make too much and can not get on Medicaid. Maybe that's all they can afford is $5 a month, at least they are trying!
Jeannie 2011-05-31 14:35:16 Unknown
I just got a call from her and called her back and she answered. Not a pleasant woman.

Nashua Resident- THANK YOU! Very well put. 'Stephanie' called me today. I missed her call and when i tried to call her back, it went straight to voice mail- I have NOTHING owed to anyone, so I'm confused as to why I am getting a call.
Last time I tried calling back, me message to her was 'tag you're it'.
Any further calls from 'Stephanie' will be answered with the sound of a blow horn or whistle.
anonymous 2010-09-09 00:24:15 Unknown
clearly coming from a deadbeat who doesn't pay their bills.. give these people a break, at least they are working for a living! the only ones who have the issues are the ones on the receiving end of a phone call
Lexy 2010-02-12 21:53:57 Unknown
Stephanie is someone I've been doing business with for several years, and this description certainly does not describe her in the least bit. You may want to actually speak with the individual prior to assuming what her work ethic entails...or whether or not she chooses not to pay her bills & is placed in collections. She's extremely reasonable to work with and only wants to help people out despite not being able to pay more than $5/month.
Tess 2010-02-09 15:01:49 Unknown
This is from a Collection Agency for outstanding medical bills.

I just received a call at 9:05 a.m. and after I answered there was a long pause and then they hung up. Very rude....if someone has something to say and takes the time to dial your # they ought to have the courtesy of saying why they called. Perhaps this wench gets paid based on how many calls she makes and on how many times people actually answer....yet the company paying her isn't wise to her antics. If I do have any valid bills then why not send me something in the mail? The laws for these harrassing calls need to be more stringent and enforceable. When you can get reimbursed a fine imposed on people who don't operate within certain guidelines it's all great conceptually - but you can't do much with that when people won't identify who they are, what company they represent, or provide a valid phone# or address to communicate in writing with them. Every time I say "please provide me with your company name and address" these callers hang up. I know that people have to do what they can to provide for their families, but it takes a pretty low life form to stoop to this type of 'profession' where you allow yourself to be the nuisance who is nothing but a source of negativity and harassment.
The next time someone like this calls and talks down to you try to remember...they are the ones working for peanuts to act like they are soooo much better than anyone who owes money. I would doubt the person on the phone (Stephanie) has made it through life without a few of her own collection accounts since she is the one whose 'career' is collections. The joke is on her....

they called me several times. I called back twice to figure out whom it was. They were rude and said when I was ready to talk about my debt to give them a call. I saw online that a lot of ppl were saying psnh and I didnt owe PSNH any money so I was a little pissed off. When I called back to say I saw that it was PSNH they said now it is harrassment you called us three times never mind the ten times they called me. I hung up. This company deserves to be put out of business. They cross all business ethics and laws.

I called Stephanie back once I realized it was a vilid colletion attempt from PSNH. She was extremely polite and deserves a bit of respect. She also sounded "HOT"
