I signed up with Alliant Energy and the dumb sob's after telling them I don't want Star Cable after they had promised that I would not be getting any calls forwarded my number on to this star cable crap.  Alliant energy sucks. They lie.

Same thing here... Today, just today, I transfered my services with "PNM All Conect" in Albuquerque, NM and when they offered me DirecTV and Qwest phone services, I said "NO, thanks". Why did they still forwarded them my phone number???... Who gave them the right to do it???... And why the heck are these people bothering me???... It's like "phone stalking"!

If I were interested in their service one of these days, they can start saying bye-bye to this probable customer!!!

I received a call from this number not even 2 MINUTES after I hung up with All Connect. What a racket! I'm filing a complaint with the NC Attorney General's office.

Direct TV, I signed up for gas and electric through cunsumers power in Michigan. They sent me to a confirmation center to assist new movers into the aera for other utilies and such that service this area. Now I know whom it is, maybe I can get it to stop.

Just signed up for electric with Progress Energy in FL and was asked to stay online to verify my info with their connection service.  they verified my info and tried to set me up with moving my cable or to set up direct TV.  I told them no I will take care of it if and when I decide what I want.  Less than an hour later I got a call from 770 627 9610!  I called the company that was supposedly part of Progress Energy's connection service.  It's called All Connect, 800- 409- 3495 and raised hell.  They agreed to take my file out of their system after I told them I worked at the Progress Energy Crystal River site and would call NC corporate about it if I got another call!  We'll see if I have to folllow through with the threat.

Ok, I called the 1-800-431-1221 number that was given above to stop these nonstop calls.  They, of course, told me to call 1-800-347-3288.  I just kept saying customer service through the whole thing and finally got a real, live person.  After being "transferred" (aka disconnected) twice, I spoke with someone who says she has me removed from their list.  She said she was immediately (yeah, right) sending it to their escalation team which does it ASAP.  (Again, yeah right.)  She said I may receive calls for a day or two while they take me out of the system.  (Really)

Anyway, just thought I'd pass on some info.  Good luck!

The company is called 'Direct Star TV'. You must have recently signed up for new gas/electric service and that company then forwards the infor to directstar who call nonstop to get you to sign up for Cable

Calls come in between 7 and 13 times a day even on weekends. I answer and noone says anything then the call disconnects if I let it go to voice mail they don't leave a message I call back and get a busy signal. How do I make them stop?
