Message left on my cell phone last Friday about an appointment that needed to be rescheduled.    Then the message went through a series of prompts, directing me to hit certain keys.   Obviously not programed to account for voicemail.   I was thinking it might have something to do with a doctor's appointment, when the message finally ended, thanking me for choosing A T &T (not my carrier and I didn't have a service request in with anyone).

I investigated and it is related to trouble shooting repair orders pending. when they ring you they are working on your order even when no. one speaks.

This is really  "AT & T"  Service-Tech Dept.

Why would I be getting a call out of ATL for an appointment in OK

i got a voice mail saying they were confirming yesterday's appointment between 8 and 5...which they did not keep.  geesh...if only my phone worked, i might have gotten the message.

Was told I would get a call from AT&T this morning and it was apparently this number. Was sleeping so it went to voicemail and they didn't leave a message.

I received a call today from this number saying it was AT&T saying they were reminding me of an appointment I had with them today 8 am - 5 pm and to call them back at an 800 number.  Obviously a bogus call.

No message left.  But, I have an open ticket for AT&T's horrid DSL service.  It was probably them.  Pretty sure I'm going to just cancel and get MediaCom.

I received a call but no message was left.  Excellent communication from AT&T.  HaHa!

In the last 10 minutes they've called 3 times and it only rings once and stops.

I got a call from this number but they did not leave a message, I am waiting for a call about a service to my phoneline that I need done.  I was unable to find out who or when I will get my services fixed.  called the number back and got the same "enter your password" message as above comments

Got a call from 770 785 6382 around 8 am today.  No message.  I was expecting to hear about the rescheduling of yesterday's missed appointment.  Wonder why no message.  I called AT&T repair and find that rescheduling of yesterday's appointment is still not on the schedule.  It's all rather confusing and time consumng, this business of being put on hold so much, getting promises, not meeting them, going on hold again, and waiting for missed appointments.  Fortunately we aren't being hurt too much by the lack of service and the missed appointments so far.  But for most people most of the time, this would be very very vexxing.  Makes me think going cable for our telephone might be just the thing to do.  One less company to deal with if the lines are ever in need of service.

Constantly get a recording asking for password; which supposedly consist of first and last name, last four of SS No.

Got a call from this number, but I had a service ticket in and was waiting for line work. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message, but I now know that it was most likely AT&T calling about the job they needed to get done.

I got the same message that Warren did.  It was a recorded message they left on my voicemail about an appointment change that was made due to "increased workload". They told me to call the number 1-888-272-4047 if I wanted to change the appointment. The end said something about "Thank you for choosing AT&T", whom I don't use at all. Comcast/Verizon for me, so AT&T should not be calling me... but I doubt this is actually them.

Recorded message about an appointment change with AT&T, moved up to 6:00 p.m.--know nothing of an appointment with AT&T, trying to find out if this is legitimate.  The number (770) 785-6382 is where the call was placed from.  The number it left to call back was (888) 272-4047, and I find no reference to that number on a Google search.
