Call from Investigator Johnson about check fraud and possible warrant.. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! block the number on your phone if they continue to call

she says her name is ms. johnson and she has a something of a fraud check & i have a pending warrant. She sounds black. she says please call me back at 7708050710 ex 105 (All these wanna be detectives can kiss my ass your not getting a penny out of me!) Frauds & scams! That's all it is! DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!

I got a call from Detective Meggs and they told me I was going to jail for check fraud. I asked them why would they not notify me to collect the debt and she said cause it happened in 4/2011 and they want the money know or they will prosecute you. I will see you in court.  I paid the money cause my daughter stole my identity and I figured it was cheaper then hiring a lawyer and going to jail so I got scammed 425.00.  UGH

Of course it could be spoofed as well.

Total scam.   Typical payday loan scam.  Don't give them any more money. Period.

If they have a valid debt tell them to send you a copy of it by US mail.  E-mail no good.  They don't do this, then they are scammers, pure and simple.

There is no warrant, no arrest, no jail, they are throwing around legal terms to scare you.  Block their number and do not pick up on numbers you don't recognize.  If there is a valid debt they will send you something in the US mail.

This num has been calling me saying they are investigators and that i owe a payday loan from 2011 and if i don't pay it they have a pending warrant for ck fraud that will go in tomorrow morning.

They scammed $325 from me which I had to borrow from my 80 year old dad that over drafted his account for me then said I had to pay another $325 today but I dont have the money and they won't tell me what in my past this is from so me not knowing cause I've never been in trouble paid the first time my husband talked to the lady and she wouldn't give her any info what it was regarding and finally hung up on him.

I got a call about fradulent checks and them pressing charges against me. Good luck with that, I'm a minor.

I keep getting calls about a fraudulent check debt I have out and there going to put a warrent out for my arrest if I don't pay them.. When did debt company's call threating to arrest u for a debt??? And I asked for an email to prove it my debt but still haven't got no email and it mr Taylor and miss Johnson that keeps calling me.. Sound like a scam to me..

This Company which is a debt collector collecting for Cashnet USA just told me they were going to turn me in to my county for check fraud.  This was from 2008.  "Investigator Taylor" said that he was turning me in for check fraud, I find this funny because IF I owe a bank money, they make arrangements with me.  He transferred me to a woman like that was going to make a difference. How do you make arrangements or pay anything when you arent working?  Most Debt collectors will make an arrangement with you, but they are trying to be "tough" but let me tell you they are rude and told me if I do not pay this in full today...they are submitting me to my county to have me arrested.  Company: Superior Asset Recoveries- They do not give you the name when they are calling which is against the law.

I just received a call from them, telling me about check fraud and that I need to handle this. I told them to send me proof and I have yet to get an email form them! I filed a complaint with the FTC!

Got a call at 12:57 pm asking me to identify myself and then asking if I know a Mark Green? I said no and then the girl hung up. Being suspicious of the area code and the call, led me to here.

Cause if this company is real,they are breaking every debt rule according to your rights!

I believe in paying my bills,and I was Blessed that I paid off a LOAN IN FULL just last year!!
You all have rights!!! This agency is really good!!!!

I will even say,tape your phone calls for more evidence against these lying liars!!!

They don't know it but their lines are being tapped by investigators.

Said the same thing to me about "activating a warrant".  They had my SS#, bank account and routing numbers.  They said I was in default of an online loan taken with MTE financial in Feb-Mar of 2010, but I have a full set of bank statements and financial records to prove I never did.  Let them try to take me to court and I'll prove them wrong.  But I believe this is some bogus debt with no backing and that they will probably never take any legal action.  Someone must have stolen my info from an online loan application.  That bank account has since been closed so no worries about them trying to dip into it.
And I'm not falling for the warrant thing.  First of all, that's in complete violation of the fair debt collection act.  And they are trying to use scare tactics to get immediate payment, but legally you have 30 days.  
So I replied to their email and told them such and asked them to not call me at work again.

Received call from a Sonya Smith, states she is an investigator for fraud. Like everyone else i googled the number to find out this is a fraudulent call.

I have a debt, they called to say they are "Activating a warrant", that they needed my work address to send someone to arrest me unless I make arrangements today to pay the debt.

Oh, It would be nice if these people actually where professional, but I guess the collection agency puts a Investigator title on them and they you are going to jump..

I just received a call from Investigator Adams concerning a case. Never say which company, google the number 770-805-0710 scammers and the other number 678-701-5459 cell number. I know the economy is bad , get a real job.

770-805-0710.   The collectors have tried a new (and horrible/sneaky) tactic.  Just took a call for a former co-worker.  Person on the phone sounded like a child with a very sweet ?May I speak to ________?????.that is despicable.  I was suspicious because I know the situation and so I googled the number.

Called about a report that was going to be forwarded to my employer.  Seeking approval to forward it.

Got a messge on my voice mail about sending my employer some information and they were just giving me a cursiousy call.

They call me all the time about fraudulant checks that I am involved in.....which is a credit card....say I owe them money.

This may be a scam. Scammers use bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

I received a call from them at work.  They give a case number and identify themself as Investigator Sutton.  This is harassment and can be reported and should be reported.  They are losers who try to scare.  This is a paid bill so they have nothing to stand on.  They should get a real job instead of a job like a leech on society.  I write down all calls received as this is building a case and these companies will be sued.  I also keep all voice mails and advise everyone else to , also.  If they get sued enough, they'll run out of money.

Got a call at 7:38 A.M. this morning.  "Invesitgator Watkins" said I needed to call him back in regards to a pending case against my social.  When I called back I received a voicemail.  Funny thing is I've been getting these calls for a couple years now.  Each from a different number, and different accent.  But it's all the same scam.  I sure hope the FCC and FBI crack down on these bums.
