Got a call from "Publishers Clearing" house made by Andrew Smith, phone number 770-884-6388. Said I won something. Called back and they were "to Lunch". Said they would call back. I hope I'm not in for the many calls the rest of the posters are indicating.

I'm tired of these types of calls. How do I stop it.  This number is on the government do not list.

i get calls all the time saying im a perferd costumer,i won 1,500 shopping spree or watch with diamonds.and they claim that i have a great deal on magizines.the number is weird,its always differnt but its only 4 numbers like 0021.for example more like a extention.well any way they claom to be part of pch,and they start out good and you really want to belive it,but then after they get you all excited they say ok,rebecca now we need a small fee before you can get your reward....i dont anwser any more and theres no way to call back.has any one else got any of these weird 4 didget numbers saying they won from pch???

they just called me, and they said that there is some some trouble with the mail in oklahoma city so "my magazens" are not on time. it's a scam. do not give your infomation out to then, and they will keep calling too

I received the same Coastal Reader Service phishing call as noted above.  On another page similar to this, a person claimed to have formerly worked there before he realized the "supervisors" were closers on a scamming deal.  The previous employees says that if you state that you are over 70, they will delete you from the call list.  They also won't deal with those under 19 or are single students or unemployed.  He says that other company names they use are ISLAND PERIODICALS, COASTAL READER SERVICE, WESTERN RENEWAL SERVICE, TREASURE COAST, AND PREFERRED RENEWAL SERVICE. He says that they are based in Fort Myers, FL and that the real company name is MO MANAGEMENT.  Their direct line is actually 239-217-6049.

We're in Southeast Florida and received a call at exactly 8:58 PM. We don't usually answer Unknown Name calls but did answerr this one coz it was a similar area code to a contractor we had just hired today to do some home improvements. A female asked for me by my first name only and I asked who was calling. She said Coastal Reader Service. I told her we didn't know anyone by that name.She said Ok thank you and hung up.

Just received a call from these shysters.  I didn't have to answer to know it's the same old crap of magazine subscription delivery confirmation scam that's been making the world tour.  They ask a few non-descript questions and then pop the BIG one......'What's the last numbers of your credit card.....the one beginning with the number 4?"  Well, let's see.......hmmmmm......that would be all of the Visa cards on the planet.  Don't fall for this garbage.  Let's all find out where these call center boiler rooms are located and go set them on fire and shoot the arsewipes as they run out the front door.  These mad dogs need to be shot.

Well its time to do something about it.  I for example report it to the FTC Federal Trade Commission.  The more reports that go through the more attention that it gets.  Here is the link that will put you right a the link to report it.  They compile a data base of complaints that is then used by civil and criminal law enforcement authorities to go after these punks.  So lets step it up and let me know how you make out here.

Got a call no message did not answer

I just got a call from this number and they said similar things about the shipping problems and my magazine. I asked which magazine and I wanted to cancel and the girl told me that she was just the initial phone call and she could transfer me to her supervisor if I would just answer a couple of questions. Asked me my age, marital status, and which credit card I think gives the best customer service.
I was then transferred to her supervisor and he said that I had a 36 month subscription (said the names of major magazines but couldn't get specific) and that I couldn't cancel because the 30 day trial period had ended. He said that he had me visa card starting with a 4 (all visa cards start with a 4 and they just choose the answer to my earlier cust service question). He asked me to confirm the exp date, after I told him I asked if that was correct and he said "umm hold on... yup that's the one we have". He then said "Now you wouldn't want anyone getting your card information and since you didn't give you date of birth or last 4 of your social when you signed up I need you to confirm your visa card number beginning with a 4 for me with the name Lee Allen." I hung up, called their customer service and they said my number wasn't on file.

Bottom line, it's a very clever scam, but ultimately they're trying to get your credit card and probably more information. Don't do it!

Received a call on my personal cell phone stating she was from Western Renewal regarding complaints to their shipping dept .   I had no idea what she was talking about and asked my  my number be removed from their call list immediately.

Called me this morning to enquire me about my magazine subscription because they had complaints from my area.  When I asked what magazines, he did not give me straight forward answers but gave me a list of magazines and suggested I should be receiving those magazines according to his records.  

Raised my voice at which point he hung up.  Sent a complaint to FTC.

Picked up when this number called -- they call almost every day. Claimed to be from Western Subscribers service, but couldn't tell me what magazines I had ordered through them and wanted to know personal information like my marital status. How that's any of their business or what it has to do with magazines, I have no idea. When I refused to give them the information, that was the end of the call. Sounds like a scam to me. I'll be reporting their number.

got a call this morning(09/08). I did not answer, there was no Voice Mail.

I got a call from that number, no voicemail either.

scam becarful, some of these callers now will beable to charge you for just answering the phone. One caller was charges twenty four hundres dollars. Still fighting the phone company on this one. Best not to pick up. Don't know who it is, don't answer.

I am getting calls from this number no they do not leave messages.

I just got a call this morning from 770-884-1855. The guy said he's from publishers sweepstakes and im one of the finalists for a million dollars. he said that visa or mastercard is sponsoring it. he said if i win he personally will call me and he personally will bring it to my house! i dont know wats their plan or wats the point of all this but theyre definitely up to something.

They called me this morning on my cell - I didn't pick up because there was no name associated on my caller ID. They didn't leave a message.  I don't plan on picking it up.  It would be great to know if anyone who did the option to be removed has worked.

Just got a call from this number, but they did not leave a message. Caller ID says it's from Robert Killory.

After reading the above, I wonder if this is related to the hacker that charged my debit card 13 times last Monday for I-tunes and other Apple related items that I do not own and didn't authorize? I had to cancel my debit card since their live reps refused to discuss the charges. Just wanted to let anyone know in case it happens to you.

They call and hang up repeatedly about ten times a day.  I talked to a representative that claims they want to talk to me about a sweepstakes and they will remove my number...then she hung up on me.  It's a telemarketer and I've asked them to stop calling my cell phone.  Don't know what else to do but ignore the annoying calls.

This number 770-884-1855 has called my cell phone for the last two days, they say I have won something but they will have to let me talk to someone else for details.  I told them I was not interested and hung up.  I do not appreciate them calling my cell phone number and using up my minutes.  I am not going to pick up or answer when I see this number appear on my caller ID.

I got a call from 770 884 1855 too. Saying I was a finalist for a 1 million dollar cash prize in a drawing done by a those credit card companies like Visa and Master Card. I sounds like a Scam to me and Im sure they are going to call me back and me I won
