An officer Conner called to tell me I was prequalified for a grant for 5000 dollars. He wanted me to provide a passport or drivers license . When I informed him I would not provide any personal ID , i.e., bank account numbers, ssn number or birthdate information, he said he would not need that information. No problem he said, but you would (Meaning me) send a 250 dollar deposit to get the money. When I informed him that there was no way I would send any money and that this was a scam he hung up. He just called me back 2:13, I told him this was a scam and threatened to get law enforcement involved a t which time he hung up. I will pass this on to law enforcement since I have family in the field, although I am sure they will have a hard time tracking these scammers down since they use bogus phone numbers and addresses. I am only writing this to make others aware of this scam. Remember two things, if it sounds to good to be true and if ever someone wants you to pay something to get something, beware , it's a scam.  03/20/13.

This is most likely a scam.. Most Government Grant Agencies do not have officer's working for them.. Representatives just like any other place! These Numbers that are scams come in from all over the place but you do need to report them to your Attorney Generals Office the next victim could be a elderly person or your parent! Do not fall for them. . Place of calling comes up as alex_baba_return... never heard of such a place. Also remember a collector can not be rude or threaten in any way! Against the law and report it to the Attorney Generals office in your state!

Officer Frank Heart stated he was from the US Gov Grant Dept.  Although he saounds like he is from India.  Wanted my credit card or Bank account number and said no charges would be made to them.  I asked then why do you need them?  I told him I want a check made to me and I am not willing to give him any financial information. He then said we can go thru Western Union with a certified check.  He siaid when I get to Western Union I will need to give him $45.00 to process the grant.  I stated all grants have no fees. He directed me to a site he said was his which showed several sites for grants.  I told him thank you for leading me to the site and I will apply on my so go F-K off you scammer.

He called on the phone saying he was officer frank heart from the us govt grant dept.  he told me I received 7,800 dollars then gave me a application number of sf3860.  he said I need to go to a western union and give them a deposit of 200 dollars then fill out the forms and he would stay on the phone with me while I processed it.  he even looked up the nearest western union for me.
