Received call from Tom Green - stating, in very broken English, that he was calling for Com Ed to switch our electricity to Santa? enegery so that we could get cheaper rates.  I told him that all Com Ed had to do was reduce our bill.  He argued that Com Ed gives us th option as to the service they provide all we have to do is sgn up now -"yesm Yes"- I said no but I would call Com Ed to verify.  He told me that he would switch the call for me-  Again, I told him no - I would make my own call and hung up.
The part of concern I really have is that he knew my name and phone number.

Yep, just got a call, made it sound like they spoke to us once before.  CREAPY

They call multiple times a day asking for the person who handles the Duke Energy bill.  Judging from other posts, they call a bunch of utility customers.  1) the use a cell phone in Chicago so tracing is a little difficult as it could be really anywhere in the world.  2) when asked MULTIPLE times to take me off their call list....."yeah, I don't know what you mean" and continue on with their (SCAM) sales pitch.  Legit companies will stop calling you if you request.....this is NOT a legit company.

No message. Just keeps calling. Probably a computer call since you  can leave a message and there is never a message,  unless you click the right number on the phone, which has to be done by a person..

How do I get these people to stop calling my phone? When I don't answer, they call from another number thinking I'm gonna answer. Just stop calling and not saying anything.

Caller tried to convince me that they were calling on behalf of Com Ed and that they needed to "verify" switching over to Santana Energy to get cheaper rates for our electric.  

They didn't have the correct name for our address (had name of people we bought the house from 13 years ago) and kept asking for our Com Ed account number.  I couldn't find the bill and the guy said he couldn't do the "verify" without our account number.

SCAM!!!!

These people keep calling.  They barely speak English.  It appears to be some sort of scam about electric rates.
