This is scary.  Now I have to change facebook and email and notify everyone. I've been getting things on FB from PETA.  I am no way connected to them..

I have looked into this because I too just received a text from this number. I saw that someone said it was linked to facebook due to how they spelled their name so I started searching on there. I don't know how they got my phone number off of FB since I don't have it listed so I looked further and saw that in my account settings under active sessions there was someone that accessed my account from a Chicago Illinois area and that is where this number is coming from. I'm assuming that this means that my account has been hacked. I'm sure it is the same for everyone else that has gotten a call/text from this number and I would recommend to change all passwords to all accounts that are connected with FB in any way so they don't get any other vital information from you.

got the same txt the other day at my daughters play. Im sure its a 800 # scam to get someone to pay to chat with them. Wont add them cuz I am not going to get suckered. Its a scam ya'll

i got a text from this number and they said if i wanted to know who it was to add textieflirter276 to my yahoo messenger

I just got this text...  "hey (my name)"

Replied "Not sure who this is."

Them "ad me on Y! mesngr txtiegirly093"

Replied "Nope.  I see online where you seem to do this a lot but won't say who you are."

It's generated from Facebook...  I have my name a certain way in Fb, and it's spelled exactly like it in the text message.  Guess FB sold our info huh?

I just received the same text! New my name. Said to join yahoo.chat and gave a user name!

The same number just texted me and said the same thing, hello (my real name) and then I texted them back saying who is this and they told me to message them on yahoo?

I got a text from this number, they want to chat on yahoo messenger, but won't give a name, and they know mine.

Got a text from this number and the person knew my name.  I texted back to ask who this was and got no response.
