Our call today was claimed to be from "Jerry Avers" a truck driver at a truck stop in Alton, IL. Says he bought my wife's lost ring and wants me to wire $100 for him to send it.

Just got a call from this number today 3/17/10 guy said his name was Jim said he worked for a trucking company as a driver and that he had our stolen english bulldog puppy. He said he wanted us to wire money Western Union to the area of Alton ill to the name of Travis Baxter! Said he needed it for a kennel to keep the dog in while he drove her up to us...Anyway I did not fall for his scam and wanted to add my story to the others after searching his number in Google.

My laptop is listed on craigslist as it was stolen worsted ago. Man called from this place he claimed in Illinois wanting western union money for sending it back. Seemed legit till I checked the number here and found its a scam. Don't get taken again people. Good luck everyone- I'm out a car window, laptop, iPhone, important notes, backpack, coats and more...

this guy called me today saying he had our stolen purse from arkansas, was very pushy and demanding money through western union.
