Called again today.  This time just the number showed up on Caller ID.

OK DTE, I read what you have to say.  I hope you will read this and hear what I have to say, but I doubt that you will.  Our city brokered a deal with an energy supplier for all residents and businesses in town.  The energy costs to me are less than AMEREN was, and so far have been less than any competitor has offered.  They are even less than the amount that your company quoted me on your first call.  Therefore your service not going to reduce my energy bills and your service is of no value to me.  This is why I requested that your company not call my business anymore.  I doubt you would be very happy if I called you everyday telling you how good my service is, so you need to understand how I feel about your company calling me after I specifically requested that they not call.  Your company is now in violation of the law and another  complaint will be filed about this.  Because your company is willing to violate the law regarding telemarketing, I suspect they are also willing to lie about contracts, pricing and all other aspects of the deals they are offering.  This is why your service is worthless to me and all of the other people your company is calling.

Called again today.  I am curious as to why the number shows up belonging to a Chicago locksmith though.
I think I'll try calling him and let him know that his number might be being spoofed.

You are missing the point which is NOBODY GIVES A CRAP about what DTE is or what they claim they can save you.  Telemarketing calls are a huge annoyance and the "business" of such should be banned.  I WILL NOT do business with ANY company that uses telemarketing. PERIOD!!  Especially the ones, like the energy companies, who call over and over and over again.  Matter of fact, I just got 2 calls 1.5 minutes apart from the same company (DTE).  Remove my number or go fly a kite elsewhere!!!

That's all well and good, but you guys need to understand that when you're calling a company, most of the time we have better things to do than argue with your rude reps that we're not interested. You need to understand what NO means, accept it and move on. Not continually call and harass us.

Your company has been reported to the Attorney General as a nusisance call and will be investigated by the state of Missouri. If the person you call requests that you remove their number from the system - DO IT. DO NOT ARGUE! DO NOT TALK OVER THEM!

Hello, I work for dte energy supply and how this works for the people that are confused. Is that there is a DTE (Detroit Edison) utility company in Michigan, but DTE Energy Supply is one of its escos. Which means that they are an approved SUPPLIER for utility companies in DEREGULATED states. That also means that small businesses and some residents are qualified to reduce their electric rate.  (w/o a supplier) you are charged a rate that changes each month EX: lets say u use 1500/KWh a month you can be charged a marketed rate anywhere between 6-10 cents per KWh. We REDUCE that rate to a FIXED PRICE that is below the market rate. like 4 or 5 cents per KWh. you can save 20% or more off ur bills without changing anything about your services. ITS ABSOLUTLY FREE, no enrollment fees, no additional charges, and you stay with your same utility company and services are still through them we would just SUPPLY your company with energy at a lower cost. they are buying from the market on a month to month basis, us as suppliers would buy in bulk some therefore being able to get the price at a reduced rate. YOU ARE ALREADY USING THE ELECTRICITY WHY WOULD YOU PAY MORE IF THERE IS A FREE PROGRAM??? Thats like saying you would like to pay $3-4/gallon to fill up your car then pay a fixed price of 2.50. Next time you get a call pull out your bill and look at it with them and see how much they can save you even if you think your bill is small anyways it could be even smaller. I bet you the telemarketer will say the same thing im saying. THANKS FOR READING hope your calls get easier to understand everyone.

Called again today.  Apparently telling them not to call me again back in August meant call me in 6 months to them.

Call keeps coming in repeatedly. No one on the other end of line. Assuming that it is a telemarketer.
