I spoke with chicago pd on this . I found out it was a scam from inside the prison. this is the WORKING cell phone number i got to return a call to and a person does answer and tries to act tough and talk crap 773-524-1800....they also gave me a number to have calls from the prisons blocked773-869-3045...but they wont go get them ...good luck

They called and said that they were from the county Prison and that we had to accept a collect call. Then they said that someone I knew had been in a car accident and was trying to get ahold of me. Also, they said that I had to call Sgt. LaBaker at #72 1773 and a phone number. The weird beginning was "because it was a walkie talkie."

Various employees at our institution have received phone calls from this number which shows as "PRISON" on the caller ID.  They state there's a family accident with injuries and you need to accept the toll call.
