A guy calling himself Jeff said he had written up a nice article about our company for publication in his publication The Advisor. He read the article to me in about a minute. It was glowing praise, and sounded like it was from someone who was certain that we are the best locksmith around San Diego. I guess that's not too hard to believe since he was soliciting nearly $300 for the "article" (payable upon personal delivery of the issue with the ad). What gets me is that the 775 area code is in Reno (Nevada), not in San Diego. We got disconnected when I told him I was getting a pen to write down his callback information for someone in the business who can make such a decision. Did he hang up on me? I do not know. I think so since he did not call back. Seems fishy to me. I have not yet tried to call back the number. I haven't decided yet if I will or not.
