Sometimes twice a day, goes to voicemail but no message.

This is the Canadian Liver Foundation.  We used to donate regularly, as I had a brother with liver disease. We agreed once to donate after they started using telemarketers, and were sent an invoice, also received a tax receipt, so I know they are legitimate.  However, even after I told them repeatedly that I will no longer support any charity that uses telemarketers to raise money, we still get these calls every couple of weeks. Makes me a bit sorry I ever donated, given the number of worthwhile charities who do not use this method.

I got a call from this number at 1:30pm on March 14th 2009. The woman claimed that she was calling from the Canadian Liver Foundation. She talked about stuff that was easily found on the website and tried to get me to donate. Even after I told her I am out of work right now she tried to get me to donate as much as I could and said that she would give me two weeks to come up with the money and send me out an invoice. I finally just said no and hung up. I only realized she was calling from this number after I hung up.

Received 2 calls from this number but no voicemail was left. I am thinking it was some telemarketing call

I had someone call me from this number, they knew my husband's name and claimed they were calling from the Canadian Liver Foundation.  After I told him I didn't have time to talk at the moment and politely tried to end the conversation several times, I finally hung up.  My answering machine had kicked in and recorded him saying "rude pig - pig" after I had hung up.

I got a call from this number at 3pm Wednesday March 10, 2010.  It isn't the first time.  I let it go to voicemail and what I hear is a recording "Do to an unexpected call volume...."then a click and sometimes someone on the other end comes on and says "Hello?" a couple of times and then hangs up.  But no other message.  Never why they are calling or who they are looking for.

They call us every single day! Usually once in the afternoon and once later in the evening. We don't answer as they are quite pushy and rude. I wish they would realize harassing calls will only make us stop donating to their cause!
