Caller said his name was Joe Morrison, he had a very heavy accent. Said that I had won a contest and that a check to cover the cost of the taxes was on it way to me. I got the check which was forged from a real company in IL and drawn from Commerce Bank. Everyone knows Commerce has been a different name for quite a while. I looked up the company on the internet and called them to inform them of the fraud then I called the police. Turns out the number is a disposable cell phone out of CANADA and the caller lives in NIGERIA!! no big surprize there.
