Same call today!  Said they would come to my house to arrest me and I said good luck bc you got my address wrong!

Got a message today from a foreign accent speaking guy named Tom O'Brien, said he was from the State Dept of Investigations calling me about some serious allegations I've committed, he went on and on and my machine cut him off.  We've had these calls before and back when I worked for the Prosecutors Office I told him I was going to report him and they didn't call back.  It's a terrible scam, I hope no one falls for it

He just called me talking about i'm going to be locked up in a couple of days! He knew my social security number.My bank called me and told me that my account has been compromised. Watch yourselves people!

Called and threatened me with the same thing as everyone else has said today. Left a voicemail threatening to send authorities to my "CITY" address which I know is a P.O. box, said officers are coming to arrest me tomorrow. I called him back and got the same run around. Some Indian guy. I am going to my local police today.

I received a call a few minutes ago and the said that it was a legal matter.  I spoke in Thai and he spoke across a room to someone telling them to get the car ready, that they were coming to arrest me.  I hope they come prepared.It came across my phone as coming from Belvidere Illinois.

I got a call from my job also today and its been a week. Stating he is sgt. Tom cooper badge #579 from federal credit bureu invest sayinh that if i dont call him back within 2 business days he will send officers to my employment and arrest me. How can i stop them to call at my job.

I got a call from my job stating that a Tom Cooper Badge # 579 from the Federal Credit Bureau called and if he didn't hear back from me by the end of the day that a warrent for my arrest would be issued.

paid 700.00 then found out they never had a checking
pay day loan account.i never had any.im disabled.

I received a phone call from this number a few minutes ago, and some indian guy asked to speak to me, and I said "she isn't available right now", and he proceeded to tell me good luck and that i would be arrested

I just got the greatest voicemail today.  I got a call from officer tom cooper and he told me that they have called me a number of times and that now they were going to have me arrested.  Let me tell you something.  I know from talking to the police and to a lawyer that they CAN NOT have you arrested. If you do owe money they can take you to court but good luck with them doing that and getting money. THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE! I know for fact one that the police department has better things to do then this. I know a police officer and he said the same thing. You can report it but they really can't do nothing about it because they change their numbers all the time. BE SMART DONT ANSWER THE PHONE

I too received a call today from a agent Tom Grooper might have been Cooper very heavy accent, telling me I had to return call ASAP, I had federal charges filed  against me and I would be arrested at my house, Called back, was very insistant on immediate resolution to debt from payday loan, Have had some  payday loans over 5 years ago and think I paid them all off. Said I owed 786 dollars, which had to be paid immediatly, I said I did not have. Agreed to take 150 now and the rest on next payday. Were very threatening and scary.   Wanted a Western Union within 2 hours, I said wanted the information of where to western union up front but they said to call back when I was at the location. Did call back at WU location, and they told me to WU green form, money in minutes box checked, to a Mary Graham  in Queens NY. I questioned the WU location since I know NY is not 779 area code. They stated that she was the attorney who was holding my file, and they were out of Jacksonville FL. I asked why she did not contact me herself and they said she is way to busy to make these phone calls. I did not send the money because it sounded fishy to me. I went to work tonight and tried google searching all the information I had been given. Have not forund a Mary Graham attorney in NY, There phone number on reverse search comes from Belvidere IL from a YMAX Communications Corp. And the FBI website does not have a credit investigations department that I have found yet. I will report them to the real FBI in the morning for impersonation of federal agants.

it is a scam. it has been going on for some time. they tryed the same thing with me

i got a call from this idiot today, called me twice it came up on my caller i.d. as 911 when i went to answer it i had to push the send button twice. I have had calls from this nut case for the past 4 years. just hang up. as a general rule if you do not know the number do not answer. he has told me that he was coming to my house i told him  come on to my house i will give him a real southern welcome , with a shot gun in hand and fully intending to use it on his dumb a**, little does he not know i do not own a gun but he stopped calling me for about 2 weeks. the next time he called i told him that i am not going to finance irans firearms or any other means of hurting innocent people. to day he threatened to have the police come to my house at 6pm. i hate to tell him i still have the phone conversation on my phone and i had stopped at the police departments office on my way home to let them hear the message that was left for me. they said do not answer the phone unless it is a number from family and friends.

Thank you for that input. He just talked with me, but I know my situation, I am under an identity theft. He threatened to put me in jail. They cant do that! It sounded like a scam.

I too have received a call from this Officer Tom Cooper, who said that I owed some money and that he would have police officers come to my home and send me to jail over some pay day loan that I do not have also threatened to send me to court. I have all the taped conversation. This man would not send me any information to verify that I even did a pay day loan, and he became very combative. What do I need to do to see that they never call me again.

Same call that everyone is getting on here an indian accent man calling himself Tom Cooper or Frank Miller leaving harassing messages saying my name will be handed over to authorities if I don't call him back and they will come arrest me if I don't call back.  Does anyone know of any criminal complaint being done against these people to stop this?!

Just to be clear - most of these scams come from India, or Asia, but mostly India. The faith in India is hindu.

I just got several threatening calls from the so called FBI. But after repeated heated conversations he(Tom Cooper - fake) said they are the FBCI (scam). He gave me his badge #(fake). Explained that I owed $8,600.00 and could be settled out of court for $396.00(big, big lie) I refused to pay anything and notified them that I am actually a Government Employee and I had just reported this to the local FBI branch. The man yelled at me with his non-American accent and promised I would be in jail by the end of the day. Well, I'm still a free man. Next time they call I will tell them that Allah took the money, get it from him lol...

this foreigner keeps calling my phone saying something about my ssn. It sounds like a scam people are just trying to get money out of you any way they can. He calls 3x a day. He ststes he is from some federal credit agency. But like I said he is a middle eastern thick accent.

These guys are calling my work and saying something about my ss# these guys are bogus! They harrassed me several years back going as far as to threaten my family. I looked into credit co. even checked through a check writing system and found I owed no money. I had to involve the local Police in the past & will call them to let them they have started calling my place of work stating its something to do with my ss#  hoping I will call. Authorities found Bin Laden but they can't find these guys who themselves are a type of terrorist trying to extract money from you with bogus debts

Received a call Jan 9 for an employee here at a Federal place of business.  I told him I would give the message to the person.  They have been calling here for over a year....  The person was not working that day.  He proceded to tell me if they did not call they would go to jail....  A federal place of business, when I hung up on him, he called back. three times.  When I told him I was connecting him to my sup he was gone.  His name was Sergeant Tom Cooper.....

Received a call Friday 1/10/2013 from a heavily accented man that stated his name was Officer Tom Cooper from the Federal Credit Bureau of Investigations. Said it was imperative that I contact them immediately to avoid further legal consequences and that if I didn't return his call he would send Officers. If he calls back, I will tell them to send me formal paperwork both to me and my Attorney. I am considering contacting The PA State Police regarding fraud for insinuating that they are some type of Officer with the Federal government.

These people are insane! Grrr...I have been getting these calls for the past couple of days and they are driving me crazy...Anything that it can be done to report them?

Heavily accented man says he needs to speak with me concerning a legal matter.  He states that he
is from the federal credit bureau.  He says his name is Tom Cooper.  He had my social security number and he stated the last 4 numbers. He keeps harrassing me.  He trying his best to get payments from and frighten me.

Received a call Friday 1/4/2013 from a heavily accented man that stated his name was Officer Tom Cooper from the Federal  Credit Bureau of investigations. He gave my last four of my SS# and said it was imperative that I contact them immediately to avoid further legal consequences and that if I didn't return his call he would take it as if I were intentionally running from this debt. He said in that case he wouldn't be responsible for any future legal problems I have and that he wished me luck. I have had these same type of calls in the past. I ignore them or tell them to send me proof of any debt they believe I owe in writing. I also tell them to go ahead and take me to court as I would be more than happy to meet them there and have my Attorney file a complaint and have them charged with harassment and possibly even fraud for insinuating that they are some type of police Officer with an office of the Federal government. It really doesn't help to make a formal complaint as these "people" are almost impossible to track. They use a bank of rental numbers that they change every few days.
