I can't believe our telecommunicatons providers allow these crazy telemarketers or scam artists whatever they are to continually harrass paying customers.  Obviously the CRTC is not standing behind their obligation to stop these harassing calls.

Skype should be illegal. These dicks use a fort Mac area code to call NFLD in hopes that some granny with a kid in Alberta will give them her credit card number. I don't even answer my phone any more. The Government is not doing its job.

"listen for this important message" ....yadayadayada. Same old same old. These criminals have zero imagination. But they are persistent little vermin, even if they are cretins. They called me yesterday on 647-931-7539 but got no answer (mercifully, my Shaw message system is not working so the phone keeps on ringing and ringing). So today, they thought they would call me on this number. Same scam - the credit card thing. I suppose there are people out there who are too thin between the ears and fall for it (but how many people can there be like that ...and haven't they scammed all of them by now?)

Ah.....but, DKC whenever did the law get in the way of criminals??? They certainly won't follow the DNC list rules when they are planning on robbing you! Duh!
So, here's the thing, eh. If you are on the DNC list and you get a call, it is either a bona fide charity or it is someone wanting to rob you. If they want your personal info, cash, credit card number etc...they are thieves. Simple as that

They didn't get me to answer yesterday when they called from 647-931-7539 (same s****y-opaque scam) so they switched to this number. I gave them my best version of a swearing sailor and they hung up before completing the recorded message.

no one seems to stop them like they are supposed too but a good one was on our news that some telemarketers now have a scheme using the name of the better business bureau   the BBB are furious and vow to do something about these callers  hopefully they have some power and control we do not have as a citizen.  I have also taken my name and phone number out of every phone directory I have.

Smart move I got call display because of these telemarketers  as well as banks and credit card people do not phone privately or do business this way.   they live in hopes some people will fall for it. I got a mastercard for a special reason recently I will only use one time however they asked when I applied if I wanted them to let my phone be known I said no definately but since then I have had calls I never had before   and Sears and some companies sell our phone number unless we tell them not to.

Credit card companies never phone you  so you will know they are crooks

this number calls all the time...last time they left a message...something to the effect about a final warning about credit card or something..i really didn;'t pay much atttention. just another daman scam

when the lady asked for my credit card number I said to her she had not sucked my dick yet she hung up they keep calling though

If you have never done any business wit this company and are on the Do Not Call  list, isn't it illegal for this firm to call you?

These Mother F-ing SOB's call all other the bloody fragrant place f****ng around with everybody all across North America. I like to rip their balls off and use them for bookends and shove a red hot poker up their a**. Maybe then these indignant a***oles would like to know what an irritant they are with everyone else they p****off especially innocent unsuspecting grannies. Next time these Numb-nuts call their going to get another ear full. And as for the low life that work these jobs...hey get a real job.

Where are the regulators and the police..  The phone companies will not do anything but  make money The government should make the phone companies responsible to whom they sell their product to. and if they make a ton of money out of Scammers then they should be fined 3x the amount.  The Scammers  cheat people out of their money and the phone companies are their accomplices...I need proper id to get a check cashed, yet these scammers set up HUGE accounts to get access to the the phone network...Let say they follow the money..

Who is this person, they obviously do not know me, as I DO NOT have credit card debt.

Called my DO-NOT-CALL land-line at 12:25 Pacific Daylight Time.
When I picked up, I said nothing, and heard nothing.
After ~20 seconds, they hung up.

Since I am a Shaw Telephone customer, I will use <star><six><zero> to block future calls from this number.

Seems like a new # they're using, judging by the recent posts here. Just got a call from this #; didn't answer the call and they left no message. Thanks, @Mike, for the info.
