My wife also received a prize notification, however the last four numbers were different.  1-780-604-2672.  I tried to call the 888 number on the check for Kosmos Energy, but to my SURPRIZE, it didn't work...I am filing a complaint with the post office. "pmecum123@yahoo.com"

I also received the huntington finalcial letter with a check from kosmos drawn on a Texas bank.  I did report this to the postal inspector's office.

I received the same letter and check just this weekend.  I would love to know what can be done about this.  I feel there will be someone out there that will go ahead and cash the check and be out a lot of money.

I also received a letter from Huntington Financial with a check from Kosmos Energy.  I'm so happy I read your post.  I knew this was a scam, but I wanted to be sure.  I went on the web, but couldn't find anything until I came upon your post confirming that this letter is a scam.  The rep's name in my letter was Janet Mendoza.  What can I do to put a stop to these letters ?  I hate to have a senior citizen receive a letter like this.  Thank you.

there was no incoming call.  I called this number because i received a reward letter, stating I won an international promotion prize.  The name of the so called company is Huntington Financial Inc.. It suppose to be a group of publishers sweepstakes promotions.  The representative is Ms. Cindy Mckinney at the above phone number.  A check accompanied the letter, but it was drawn from a different company, called Kosmos Energy from Dallas, Tx.  This company has nothing to do with this so call promotion. It is a fraud. Kosmos asked me not to cash the check, and that someone will get back with me to tell me what to do with it.  I decided to take the matter into my own hands. I will not say what I'm about to do, in case this fraudulent company stumble on to this site.
