They are not telemarketers, they are a research company. Located in Alberta, Canada. They're legit and do a lot of telephone and internet research, see their website www.advanis.ca. The don't sell anything and they don't keep numbers. If they got your number when it was unpublished it's because your number is either in a sampling company's database, or you are a client of a company that has requested a survey with you.

If someone calls you from 780-665-3119 and tells you you've won a prize and you haven't done a survey, or tries to sell you something, it's a scammer who has spoofed that number using an outpulse service. Report the scam to the police and mention that they were spoofing a legitimate number.

I got a call and after she said hello about 4 times she just hung up.  NOT happy with this number!

plz don`t call back this #, don`t know how and what for, but in my location it`s late at night.

I got 5 calls over a three day period from that number with the caller ID name "Alberta".  I wasn't around for any of the calls, and of course, they didn't leave a message.

I got 8 calls over a five day period from that number with the caller ID name "Alberta". I do not answer calls I do not know who they are from and this caller did not leave any messages, so much for the no call list.

Called at 8:00 Pm on a Friday night.
If your caller ID said "Alberta" that would be because this is from an Alberta area code.
As I was on the internet on dial-up, I forwarded the call to another phone, but they hung up rather than stay on the line. Interesting how these people don't mind inconveniencing us, but they will not be inconvenienced.

So far only 1 call rec'd from this # - shows up as "unknown name" but this is an area code for Edmonton, Alberta area.  I never answer calls from any "unknowns".  Isn't it time the appropriate gov't body did something about these types of companies that are either running some sort of scam, scheme, whatever and are nothing but a nuisance.

I got a call from this number 780-665-3119 around 7:46pm and asking for my husband, when I told her my husband is not available, she asked for the person who can also make a decision regarding phone connection and she said that she's conducting a survey about a phone service so I told her not interested....... caller ID :  Edmonton  AB, then right after I answered that call, 1 866-822-9401 called, hmmm , I wonder if they're just checking if the phone is legit then they called again... oh well, this time I didn't answer....

Got a call on my cell - no message left.

I got call from this number when I was notified that I won Lotto Extra prize which was $ 250000000000

I called my bank about the call and it is a call center that asked about customer service.  Apparently nothing to be worried about.

20:50hrs on 2010.11.04.  Caller just hung up.  Called it back and received a recording advising that the company name is, "Advantis" a market research company.  Interesting.

have gotten several calls on my mobile phone from this number. who are they and what is the point of them calling and not leaving a message or hanging up when you pick up the call? makes no sense.

A female voice announced they were from the 911 emergency system and that they needed to speak to the person who had made the 911 call.  I informed her that no one had made any 911 calls.... and then she hung up.  Fascinating how much time these folks seem to want to waste...

Just got one too. I live in Calgary but didn't answer since it's from the northern area, likely Edmonton.

Added them to the "don't make my phone ring" list.

switched to a new phone with sprint and after doing the ready now survey started getting calls from this number. i assume it is someone wanting me to do more surveys but don't have the time and if i don't recognize the number i won't answer. no message left

A call today on my cell from 780-665-3119, ID Alberta. Know no one there. Did not answer. No Voice Mail left. Annoying.

I keep getting calls from this number at work asking for my boss by name. when I tell them he's not in they hang up.  Last two times they asked when he would be in when I told them I didn't know they just hung up.  What are they getting out of repeat calling??  soooo annoying, should be a way these people
are accountable some how.

Got a call from 780 665 3119 never answer unknown numbers but decided to check area code found the same bull as you all. I really wish scammers find something better to do with their God given talents and intellect.

Called me twice on my magicjack number, thankfully that number isn't being used right now, they get sent straight to voicemail, they never leave a message
