This number calls me a couple times a day.  Most of the time they just hang up when I say hello, however once I heard a couple of people talking in the background before they hung-up.

I never answer as I screen all my calls, however after this many calls from this number (multiple times a day, I called it back.  I got an automated answer asking me to enter my password.  Hmmm...

This number keeps coming up on my caller ID - I picked it up today and no one answered.  I get this call a few times a day.

Leaves no messages, hangs up if I answer. However, today they claimed to be with Meridian Research

this number calls at least 3 times a day and does not leave a message.......who are they and what do they want?

they have called at least 8 times in a 2 hour period.  They do not leave a messge and want to speak to my husband by name.

Have received several of these calls within the past several weeks.  Caller hangs up when answering machine picks up.  I picked up today; caller asked to speak to the male of the house, "if one is available."  I asked caller to remove our number from his list.

They'll stop calling if you answer.

4 calls in four hours.  They are driving us crazy.  If we pick up the line disconnects.  They are calling our house!

Contacting the "AT&T Annoyance Call Center" won't accomplish anything.  I tried going the phone company and government complaint route a few years ago when I received continuous calls from MCI/Worldcom.  At the end of the day the bottom line was that the phone company and any/all regulatory agencies weren't going to do anything about the calls.

If the calls actually were threatening life or obscene, that would be a different story.  But receiving robo-calls that either leave political messages on an answering machine or just hangup the line when a person answers, it's impossible to stop those calls.  Again, AT&T won't do jack.  I suspect these calls are political in nature and it's only going to get worse as the presidential campaign heats up.

Call the AT&T Annoyance Call Center at 1-800-348-8727.  Leave your number, and they will call you back.  If enough people call, action is taken.

Received a call today on my cell from this number. Didn't answer as I didn't recognize it. I called # back with same 6 digit password request as described. Anybody that has actually talked to a person ask how they got their number?

Caller said he was from a credit union and wanted to do a survey; when I asked him where he was calling from, he hung up. Something is rotten with this deal. We have had many calls from this number also; today was first time we answered.

I dialed his number and was aked for a password.

This 1-800-835-4431 number has pissed a lot of us off.  Like many of you, I have received a ton of calls from this number, have played around trying to figure out the "six digit password", tried looking it up on whatever free search engines I can find...all with negative results.  However, there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I am a retired police detective and have access to several "alternative" methods of searching for someone...or for a phone number.  If any of you are interested, here is a good source to search - just cut and paste: http://www.ussearch.com/consumer/tsrflow/prod ... searchtab=phone

We called our Cell phone provider(at&t) they told us they couldn't do anything.  We then threatened to cancel our phones if they didn't do something about it.  We haven't received a single call from this # since.

Call your phone company, and don't take no for an answer!

same story here.  but i finally answered today and some guy sez "we are doing a residential survey and would like to ask you a few questions"  - - so i said call back later.  but it was a live "person".

I just received another call. They were actually on the line when I called. I yelled at them and told them to lose my number and never call back.

I have received 15 calls at least since Friday. Sunday alone I think I received 5. I finally answered...I hear a click and then it hangs up. SOOOOOOOO ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've received 12 calls from them today. I am really pissed off as are my coworkers. They call and hang up after 1 ring.

You get robo called from this number? I know this approach is far fetched, but wouldn't it be great if we could get 10,000 of us to robo call them? Say 10 times each for 10 days for starters. Of course we are much too busy to do this that's why they get away with what they do.
