Well if it is the alberta association of fire chiefs they calling every province for donations.  I live on toronto and got a call from this number.  Didnt pick up because one I dont answer calls I dont know who it is, since I dont know anyone in alberta. two I dont want to take calls from telemarketers trying to solicit funds for anything.  If i want to donate i do it directly and not over the phone.  In fact i black list charities that call me at home asking for money.

Received a call from this number.  Answered but they were gone.  Pesky unwanted number which should, in my opinion. not be allowed to use our telephones

Computer dialed call. You can tell by the hesitation  when you pick up. I don't reply to these calls.

I received three calls in two hours. I do believe this is the  Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs. I had donated to the burn unit at Foothills hosp a few years ago, and I think they passed the number on. I no longer donate to that "charity"

Same number - they are absolute pests, and very pushy...

no message left. In fact my husband did speak to someone a couple of weeks back, and told them we weren't interested, but they keep calling.

Dido on the above.  we have received several calls starting at 9am.  I said hello and no response just dead air so i hung up and then again this morning the same thing, dead air.

It has become ridiculous where you have to constantly monitor these scam phone numbers!! They keep calling and I keep not answering; however it is not solving the problem of theses unsoliciting numbers!!
How do you solve this problem?? No one seems to be able to stop them calling back...

they have been pestering me for weeks, and when i answer you can just hear background noise but no one says a tweet, next time i will go for the whistle treatment lol great idea Nathalie!

We have received calls from this number several times. We do not answer calls from numbers we don't know. There is never a message left. I called the number back and it said it was from the association of fire chiefs but no one was available to take the call. I left a message to call me back but have not, as yet, received a return call.

I wait till i hear a human then whistle as loud as i can into the phone. They tend not to call back

Got the phone call today. Same for me I don't answer unless they identified themselves. I only answer to known numbers. I totally agree that they are very pesky!!

Recieved calls from this number several times in as much as 3 hours. I've made it my policy not to answer unknown name/ unknown number calls. We block as many as our phone allows, but they just keep calling. MAGGOTS!! Get a life and a real job, stop bothering good people at home!!
