called early in the morning, threatening tone, left message stating "Patrick Penman call John Redmon" at 866-485-9708 ext #21 regarding case #10673500

Trying to collect on a unpaid check... very rude!... Was demanding my checking account information to cover a bounced check...  I explained to the lady that was impossible!  Due to the fact that we have not written a check in years... She hung up after that comment! lol

This is completely a scam.  Do not give these people any information.  My husband's sister-in-law actually received the call, who lives in a different state.  The call was meant for my husband for an outstanding debt that no longer appears on his credit report.  They said the are from the Paul J. Coleman law firm in Massachusetts and the number was 866-485-9708.  I found out from my lawyer that these people are from collection agencies and law firms that actually buy "old debt" to try to profit off of it since they work on commission.  They want checking account information.  DO NOT give these people any information.  Get a lawyer involved before you do ANYTHING!

We go the same type of message just today. A man called us about a "time sensative" issue that needs our attention and for us to call Brad at Paul J Coleman and As. PC at 18664859708
We were told to give a file # which he failed to mention.
"Brad" never addressed who he was trying to reach. For all we know it could be a wrong phone #. We then called the # he left and got a rather stern man. Any one know if this is a scam or is it legit?

left a message saying they were an attorny calling from this office about a judgment against a 1st name (could not make out but not even close to any name we know) last name (same as mine is a very common one) for that person to call them back but did not say what attorny office it was with or a phone nuber to call. I look on here and its a collection agency I thought it was against the law for them to misrepresent who they are.

collection agency. the secretary has a short fuse, so just screw around and she will hang up on you.
