I am tired of these people calling me and they have made threats to me; also one of the people I spoke with there claimed to be working with law enforcement and attempted to intimidate me. I also get a lot of hang up calls from these people and when they call my house 20 times a day while I am at work they never leave a message; I just come home to my phone beeping and have to delete 20 missed calls. This is getting out of hand

These idiots keep calling our house which is a  private unlisted phone number, that we pay extra monies to have only because my husband unfortunately has a low life jealous piece of dirt x-wife who had more than 1 affair with another male species and left her husband for the greener grass on the other side-how's that working for you now "Tina O in Sprinfield, OH".   So anyhow I have told these idiots from Boudreau &b Associates....that  they have the "wrong private unlisted phone number" for the female species they are looking for.    Which would be my husbands X-piece of low life crap cheating low life, did I say low life x-wife, how left him for another male species, wow.   I have even given Boudreau & Associates all information that I could find from there divorce papers from over 5-years ago on this piece of crap female species they are looking for whatever she owes them from, not our business....and they still keep calling our house & "I have asked them nicely to take our phone number off there list"..."But to No Prevail"!     But they keep calling our home.  Thus meaning just because you pay extra on your phone bill for an unlisted number it doesn't mean that somehow some collection company whether attorney office or not ~ can't get your phone number, even my step kids don't have our home number, I don't want anymore childish hang up phone calls in the middle of the night from his x-wife, thus all the grown thirty plus years old step kids have my husband's cell and mine for emergency purpose or to contact period).     So now we are left with no choice besides changing our home number but we will have to file an harassment charge against this company at our local Police station.  Which entails, going down to our local police station ( like they don't have better things to do or our ourselves).         The only issue is I have to go down to our local Police station and file a harassing phone charge to take the Police report to our local telephone company so if or when this collection office calls again we can file charges.....what a pain in the behind.     So once we go & file this report with the local Police station       we can start these procedures with our local telephone company.  Wow what a pain but it will be worth it.  Small tid-bit on X-spouses~~~when you cheat and leave because you think the grass is greener on the other side and your husband moves on in life and remarries get a grip or get a life of your own and work hard for the pretty little materialistic things you want in life also-don't be soooooooo jealous you have to spend your waking moment thinking about how things financially did not work out for you and thinking of little childish behavioral things you can do to your x--husband and his newer wife....get a life of your own.  Don't be jealous and decide "wow the grass wasn't greener on the other side and decide to try to hurt your x-spouse financially by coming by on old wedding anniversary dates and slashing & punching our tires.  Guess what
Tina you will be caught the next time, so come on by and see me, I know you don't want to come by in the daylight but in the middle of the night, that's ok I have something for you :-)!!!.  Now whether the police get here quick enough or that female species may just trip over a barb wire fence and her face gets literally destroyed by the fence~~~of course......you owe the insurance company mega dollars estimated would be over $12,000.00 to them and my husband & I are out of pocket expenses for the temporary inconvenience you may of caused us in the past will be worth watching you have to go to jail and pay back every last penny you owe our insurance company and my husband and I.  May you rest in hell for the uncalled for dirty little in the middle of the night like a snake in the grass low life deeds you and your new mate have done to us.  Guess what I will keep on smiling and living the American dream with my husband will you...lol.
Back to the main point of all of this, all I know about this phone number 781-404-4088 has insulated the wrong "woman".   I'm not going to lay down and take this kind of harassment from a glorified attorney/collections company.  I will be filing the Police report and going to my local phone company with the Police report number and we'll all go from there.    Regards, Mrs. O (you can take all that to the bank also)  PS at the bottom before you hit send it does say to please watch your language and post only "Truthful Information"....Thus this is what I have done.  Hope you all have a blessed day and remember everyday is a gift.  Put your camera's up and load your guns! :-)

We have received 23 calls from "Bourdeau" (that shows on our caller ID), between 1/14/12 & 2/10/12 & they never leaves a message. We don't answer the phone because we do not know who it is and since our phone has a block feature, I have blocked the number. but they are stupid and still call.

Yep, they call, but just block on my Verizon account.  Easy to do, read the ripoff report:

Just a bunch of morons trying to scam people.  If your debt is legit, deal with the original creditor not these glorified used-car salesmen - they don't deserve your money, or your time.

Hate to tell you this--but it is not illegal for your credit to be dinged from medical bills. It should be, but it isn't:

Can Medical Bills Affect Credit Scores?
Medical bills can potentially be very costly and difficult to settle. Patients have to deal with doctor and hospital bills, plus it can involve health insurance providers who may lag when having to pay these bills. Typically, when that happens, the delinquent amounts are handed to collection agencies, which reflect a negative credit activity in the individual's credit report. This can indicate a high credit risk, thus generating a low credit score.

Even if delinquent amounts are paid and marked as such on a credit report, it is not erased from the report for 7 years, unless proven to be a factual error.

How Can a Medical Bill Affect My Credit?

While it certainly is not uncommon for medical collections to appear on people¿s credit reports, how it affects credit depends on a lender¿s discretion. Institutions vary as to how to deal with a person's medical bills.

In instances where you are attempting to finance or refinance a home loan, it depends on the mortgage company's underwriting criteria as to whether medical collections must be paid off as a stipulation for approval.

This is a collection agency.  Be VERY CARFUL of them.  This morning I received a call from someone claiming to be from Citizens Bank, saying that I was $1000.00 overdraft and needed more information. I hung up.  I called the bank and they assured me the phone call was not from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am trying to pay off some medical bills from when my wife passed away.  By the way.  It is illegal to get a bad credit raiting from medical bills.  Every month I sent to all outstanding medical groups that I owe money to in the amount of $20.00.  They must accept it, And never put medical bills on your credit card!!!    They don't like it, but by law they must accept it on "good faith law" in trying to pay the medical bills.

They are a collection agency.  They have been calling me non-stop for the last couple days, however the calls never go through.  I just called the number back and asked if I could have my number removed from there system.  They were very friendly and took my information.  They assured they would not call again.  Hopefully it works!

Several calls , no messages...I answered and the phone was ringing on the other end then a hang-up . If they don't want to talk , why call in the first place ? If it's a debt collector , they must be paid by the number of calls they make , not what they collect . ( My room mate may owe something , I don't )

My wife has been hounded by the unprofessional people that work for this "attorney firm." All they are is a collection agency that hides behind the "scary" name of an attorney, which in some states is being found to be illegal, false and even deceptive to say the least.

I've successfully dealt with such low life collector tactics with large "firms" and agencies before, and am now getting ready to tackle these morons.

I prepared the cease and desist letter for my wife, and will be sending it out via certified mail along with an order for no contact. I hope that they violate the law and continue calling her, we could use the extra money. lol

Rule One: NEVER work with a collection agency. There is NO law that says you need to, nor do you even need to talk with one when they call. Give them NO information about you whatsoever. Stop 'em in their tracks...I do!

You can work with the original creditor IF you truly do owe a debt, which is usually much much lower than what they are claiming you owe. If enough people would understand how to deal with these low lifes, then collection agencies and the morons they employ would be a thing of the past. They don't deserve to exist. WORK with the original creditor only, no exceptions!

These "law firms" continue to sell these "debts" for whatever price they can get to other collection companies (I use that term loosely) if they are unable to collect themselves.  It is a vicious cycle that never seems to end.  It doesn't necessarily mean that what THEY are doing is legal or ethical.  They do it because they can and nobody files suit against them.  What happens is that they use illegal scare tactics against the people they call in hopes of getting money.  A legit collection agency will identify the debtor and offer the option of paying via mail if the debt is within the legal limitations of collecting for the particular state the debtee.  The ones that identify themselves as lawyers or law enforcement officials are fake.  If you are going to be sued for an outstanding debt, you would get an official summons in the mail, not a phone call making false threats and accusations.  My husband is a lawyer that specializes in collection law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and what these people are doing is ILLEGAL.  Check your state's "statute of limitations" and it's always best to talk to a lawyer about these things ASAP.  Good luck, everyone!  :-)

"LAW FIRM?"  Surely you jest!  These bozos tried calling me to collect on an account that never existed, from 2003!  8 years is way beyond the statute of limitations on collecting anything in my state anyway, so YES, it IS a scam.  These bottom feeder agencies sell these debts for pennies on the dollar to other, sometimes worse, bottom feeders.  They will try to take what they can get.  Completely illegal.  I checked my credit report and there are no negative notes, so I am not concerned.  The next time they call me and I get a live person, I will blow a whistle into the receiver and deafen their employee.  Ask me if I give a s***!

The problem with a cease and desist is they just transfer it to another law firm and you have to go through it all over again.

This is what you do = particularly if, as in my case the statute of limitations is over.  WRITE A LETTER ...cease and desist ~ stop calling contacting you in any way.  My letter stated that should they contact me again, under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) each call is a violation subject to my obtaining $1,000 per violation, which I will not hesitate to pursue..and by the way the 9 year old debt - $400 my ex husband owes.
