like others, calls and doesn't leave messages

yes i got a call 4 times with the these numbers 212-777-1645,212-529-5461,and they are very annoying.

I got a call from this number as well. No one said anything when I answered

They continually call and when I answer, there's now one on the line. When I call their number, they don't answer. I want them out of my life.

So, I did a bit more reseach on the 212-529-5461 cold call.

Central Research has a phone number they answer so I called. I called(212)260-0070 told the rep to remove my number from their database and not to sell it to anyone else.

I'd suggest you call the same number (212) 260-0070 and get your number removed as well. Good luck.

I am in Colorado,  they call several times a week.  no answer, no voice, just a phone ring.  no answer at the number.

Call came to Kansas at 17:01 hours Central Daylight from New York City, NY, phone service furnished by Verizon of NY City. Wife answered but they hung up. Caller ID said Central Research. Other posts indicate Central Research Services, a political poller.

I just filed a complaint against them with the National Do Not Call Registry, the New York Attorney General and the New York Better Business Bureau.  In the complaint to the Attorney General I cited their harassment of consumers for pecuniary gain.  

At least I hope I can waste as much time of theirs that they have wasted of mine.

someone is crank calling me well these ppl are going to get a rude phone call as soon as they answer. im not going to put up with it i will drive to ny and kick some butt

Calls daily and hangs up when I answer. Is very aggravating! How do I get them to stop?

Calls several times a day with no one there if I answer. Says it's CENTRAL RESEARCH.

This number 212-777-1645 calls 3 to 4 times per day for a few weeks.  For instance, yesterday (Sunday 6/22/08)I received a call at 11:12am, 11:39am & 2:24pm. I answered the last call and they hung up.  I called back and got a busy signal, called back a little later and it rang & rang then said the mailbox was full.  I am also on the do not call list. Very annoying.

they said "wait is this a cell phone" i said yes, and they hung up immediately

I got three phone calls from this number within an hour.  I finally answered the call thinking it was someone I knew calling from a different number.  No one was on the other end.  The very odd thing is that I had a buddy in from out of town that received the same unknown call in the same morning, five times. Once I answered the call they haven't called back.  I can only assume that they got the information they were mining for. Possibly checking if the number had an owner, how many times it would take to have some one answer, male or female voice to answer, assume an age based on the recorder voice.  I don't know. Could be anything.  I WANT TO KNOW!!!  I don't like people taking advantage of innocent cell phone owners.  Can someone please investigate so these violators can be penalized.

Call came in at dinner time on the West Coast from this number - no one was there when I picked up. I redialed the number and it was just busy...busy...busy. Probably a scam and I won't call it again and have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call list since we are on it...

Received numerous calls all day from 212-529-5461 about a week ago.  Called 212-260-0070 to request that my phone number be removed.  CSR said we would be removed from list.  The calls stopped.  However, today they have begun again and when I called the 212-260-0070 # to complain about being called again, they answer and pretend not to be able to hear you.  They say "hello, hello" and then hang up.  Now I've just gotten another call from them from 212-777-1645 and I hear the CSR say to someone in the background, well, it must work and I assume she is telling them that having us call them back apparently works.  We asked a second time to be removed and the CSR said we would not be called again... we'll see.  We are fed up with these calls and are on the "DNC" list.

just hung up when I answer since I have family in NY I wanted to know when I called back they just let the phone ring until and snsweing machine came on and it was full

If it is truly a political polling company, the Do Not Call list does not apply.  Most surveys are exempt from DNC.

Tell the bleepards DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN !
THEN contact your state`s attorney general. Expect them to give you a nasty reply either direct or thru AG`s office.
Maintain constant pressure on them thru AG`s office. Eventually they`ll look for easier sheeple to bully.

They never speak and this just started being an issue.

I have been getting calls from them every 30 minutes today.  I have Fridays off from work.  I have not answered it yet but as soon as they hear my answering machine, they hang up.  They have been calling every night but we ignore it.  My daughter answered it once, told them who she was and they hung up on her.  I finally got tired of getting calls from them and curious who Central Research is and googled this number and found this website.  Sounds like I am not the only person that gets these calls.

If you are getting calls from the number 212-777-1645. Call this number, 212-260-0070, tell them you are getting calls and would like to be removed from thier call list. The person I spoke to was very nice and apologized for the calls. He said they would remover me from the list ASPA. Good Luck!!

The phone rings and shows up as unknown name on the callerID.  I call the number and it is always busy.  Four calls were made this evening at 6:10 pm, 7:15 pm, 7:46 pm and 8:08 pm.
