This is a scam....when you try to call the number back it says its been disconnected.

I didn't know the person so I hung up.  Most likely a scam.....

I was on another  phone call when this call came in... it was a 781 area code... So I decided to call the no. back// It was disconnected.... I would like to know how they can call from a phone and when you try to call the no.  it says it has been diconnected???????

I received a call on my Malden Cell Phone and it said that the call was coming from Revere.  He told me that a large number of veterans were coming home to Malden and how they needed help. He had know idea that I worked for a Veterans Agency, so needless to stay, he didn't hang around on this call long at all. But I have also sent an email that was stated above.

I saw this number on my caller id twice this week. Glad there is a site like this to save me a headache!

Google and Verizon,who else! Could be right across the street of " 101 Main St." too!

Got a call from this number, we're unlisted- but he called us by last name.  When I asked him whom specifically he was looking for, he hung up.  Dubious!

My caller (not too bright) said he was calling on behalf of Arlington, MA veterans. They would give 100% of the credit card or check amount to the Arlington veterans. They offered to have a courier come to the house to pick up a check. They called on March 6, 2012.

Got a call from 781-656-0232
Said his name was Kyle, asked for the man or woman of the house by name. Don't know who he is or which company he's from.

Just got a call from this number, said his name was Mike Gallagher. Wanted money for vets. Offered to have someone come by and pick up the check at the house. I said he could mail something to me. He said, 'We don't have money for mailings.'

He said that , 'we do everything local. Just for Natick vets coming back home soon.'

When I called back, the number said it was disconnected!!

If you call back the number as it appears, it tells you that the line is disconnected.

Caller was unprofessional and rude.  Called me "hon" and when I politely asked him not to, he snickered and said he didn't get it....really?

they do not id themselves. they ask for you by name. they do not leave a message. clearly a scam.

They specifically asked for money to help veterans in my home town - as if they were a local veterans organization.  I questioned them...I also called the number back and it was disconnected.
As the president of a local veteran's service org., I am very disturbed by this scam and will notify every person I know.

Just got a call from this number.  The caller asked to speak to my husband.   I asked who was calling, and he identified himself as "Tim".   When I asked him what this call was about he asked if my husband was home.   I said I was not going to tell him whether my husband was home, and asked him again what the call was about.   He said I was acting like a baby and he didn't talk with babies, then he hung up!

Just got a call -- picked up because it was local number. Said "Hello?" No answer, loud background call center. I waited about 30 seconds, then said "Hello, hello, you're wasting my time!" Some guy pipes up with "Whoa, whoa, Mrs. [Not my name]! Take it easy!" Then hung up.

Whatever, loser-dude.

I picked the phone and for a few moments I didn't hear anything. Then a mail voice said Miss. (my last name), then hung up. My called ID shows that they also called 1/15/2011.

I got a call from these guys on Sunday night, I answered the call an they hung up.

Well,what about me! I have no job  and health insurance! I was in the IBEW union for only ONE MONTH IN MY LIFE TIME! Talk about it!

Tell him that I don't have a JOB and HEALTH INSURANCE!

Just got a call from this number and Donna was not a happy camper. I didn't have time to listen to her run down her list. I called back to ask why she hung up so quick and funny it was a disconnected number! Scams like this need to be shut down! Veterans are heroes! Not scam artists!

I just got another call from these "people".  I got a call about a year ago and read about who they were.  I added them to my phone book with a distinctive ringtone, so I don't have to talk with them anymore ... just let it ring ... needless-to-say, they don't leave a message.  I'm in Winchester, MA, by the way.
