I got a call today from this number and my cell phone has a DC area code, but I live in Boston - so I can only imagine what it is

I've gotten several nuisance calls from my area code (781). I believe that the cruds use your area code to make you think that they may be a neighbor, etc.
That's just my $0.02. But thanks for the vacuum cleaner sales heads-up.

Male called looking for wife, but when told she was not available and who and why were they calling, the reply was, "There is no message" and they hung up quickly. The caller id has them as "Kirby of Woburn, MA"...a vacuum cleaner company. The way he replied seems suspicious. Perhaps "he" just works there and is looking for something

called looking for me several times. When my son answered the phone and I wasn't around she strted asking him questions.. Are you home alone? how old are you? When will your mother be home from work? Why are you home early from school it's only 12:00? I couldn't believe when I got a call at work and my son was so worried wondering why this woman was asking so many questions. I left my meeting just to go home because it made hi feell a liitle weary.Come to find out my sister in law had given my name to a kirby carpet cleaning person. Another friend of hers also called her said how RUDE the woman was. I feel for sales people but your not going to get anywhere this way!

Pushy rug sales person. Rude. Calls multiple times in a row. Doesn't leave a message. When confronted hangs up rudely.

I've been getting it too. All I know is it's from Woburn. I have also been getting calls for a Firemen's Fundraiser & they are PUSHY. I claimed to be the babysitter & they said they'd call back, so it COULD be them again. When I answered the last call they said "Diane?" like they knew me and when I asked who was speaking he gave his name and not recognizing it I asked who he was with and then he finally said he was raising money. SO RUDE.
