My cell phone is an android. Thanks to Call Control app downloaded from the google play store it hangs up the first ring on most telemarketers and all toll free numbers. It's a life saver app. It blocks area codes also. Enter 317 area code and it will block every number that starts with 317. Also blocks unknown and private calls. It also has a community black list with thousands of numbers of telemarketers numbers it automatically hangs up on if you check that setting. Great app but you must have an android phone to get it.

Receive several calls on my cell phone from this number.  I never answer calls I don't know who it is.  I figure if it is important They'll leave a message.  

My message on my phone says, "Can't answer the phone now.  If you have a message please leave your name and number.  If it is worthy of a response I will call you back".

Called and woke me up, Said it was Charter Business, told her I wasn't interested in any thing they had to offer and hung up... I REALLY miss the old days when you could slam the phone down on a caller and ring their ears for awhile!

Calls my home phone at 7am CA time. I hang up and they call back and I hang up on them again.

Charter Business wanting to sell me Inet service. Block'em.

Got a call from this number today and the caller was asking all sorts of questions, is this a home, is this a business... would not identify himself.  He said he was trying to confirm something.  I said I am sure you are and hung up.  I am going to report this number to the Do Not Call Registry.

This has to be a scam.  They said they were from Charter Services and asked to speak to my boss, knew her name too.  I wouldn't put her on the line and told they they would have to talk to me.
They asked if I would be willing do change over to a "new product" and get a $100 credit.
I told them I couldn't say since I didn't know what the "new product" was.
Then they asked how many phone lines we have.  I told them that if they are really Charter, that they would know that.
Also, asked me for my email address.  I said, again, if they are Charter, they would know that.
When she couldn't tell me why she didn't know that info, I hung up on her.

This was Charter business, asking for the person who handles internet and phone.  I said there was no such person, and she thanked me and hung up.  Because I use charter for internet access, I believe even though I am on the Do Not Call list, they have a right to call because we have done business in the past 90 days.

Got a call supposedly from Charter Business.  Caller  was rude and argumentative, said his name was Eric and refused to give me his superior when asked 4 times.  Advised I will be making complaint with center and advised not to call again.

Got the same thing, but I don't have Charter. Never have, never will.

got a call from them yesterday, no message.  got another today.  left a voice mail that they were calling from charter and wanted to quote me on high speed internet.

I just get the call from them and they keep talking talking never want to let me go. Don't ever pick up this number again

Marty Newman called "on behalf of Charter Telephone and Internet." Wanted to speak with whoever handles our internet and telephone needs (I already knew this was bogus b/c we already use that company and have a rep we speak to on a weekly business). Was a little snippy when I would not tell him the name of the person who handles those accounts. Did actually leave a message, though, when that person "was not available." 8880-848-6541, ext 702. Sorry - you're not legit so no, I will not pass that message along.

Do not call lists do not apply to businesses. If they are allowed to solicit others, then the same can be done to them.

I have been on the "Do not call list" for Years.  It no longer seems to stop any calls.  I have a rule with my phone (my phone - my  rules).  If the caller can't be bothered to leave a message, then I can't be bothered to talk to them later.  I use my portable phone to "upgrade" the number to the Call Block list on the phone.  The next time they call, the call is automatically stopped after one ring.  I don't know what happens on the callers end, but they never seem to want to try again after that.  This is the only relief I know that is easy and cheap.  Someone will eventually find a way to market phones that are updated with a list of "Do Not Answer" numbers.  Our wonderful government is proving to be as ineffective with stopping these phone calls as they are about stopping the high volume on television commercials.  Fight back on your own terms!

caller id showed "toll free call".  The caller said her name was jane and wanted to speak to someone by name.  I asked if I could tell the person what it is regarding.  The caller said she'd call back later and hung up. #)($&) !

This number dialed my number repeatedly for the past 2 minutes (a total of 8 calls)!  How the heck do I get removed from their damned lists?!

Caller left a message and said he was Michael Donogan and wanted to know if I could install a phone with phone service.  Left number to call back as 888-848-6541 extension number 754.  I didn't call him back.  This is not a service that my company would even provide.

caller ID showed  888 848 6541 Toll Free Call.  The caller hung up on me when I said hello.

Called but left no message. If it's Microsoft, like the previous poster says, they'll be surprised to learn that I use Macintosh computers exclusively.

Message left was from Microsoft asking about Dynamics CRM and how it's going for our company.
