If 782 is an invalid area code then what is the 000 How do they make these calls with invalid numbers this is the first time I have had this number on my caller ID. No message only the same number below for the caller.

I missed a call around 6:30 P.M. on 9/24/12. Saw it at 10:14 P.M. and tried to call the number. Said it was either disconnected or not a working number.

Got my first (and last) call from this number today. I downloaded an app (Call Control) in mid-August, for free, and it works like a charm! If a number displays as "unknown", Call Control sends it straight to voice mail. If a number displays, it puts the call through. Then I open Call Control > Recent Calls > Move to Black List and I never hear from them again. It can also block spam texts.

Invalid number so I didn't even answer. Anyone that hides behind non working or blocked numbers generally have  criminal intent.

Then why did you tell them your $limit? Don't you think that Chase would have this info?

I received a call from this number claiming they were from chase and would lower my interest rate. They asked my credit limit, my interest rate, and the customer service number on my card which I gave. Then they asked for my 16 digit account number so i asked why they need the number if they are calling from chase and the call was dropped. Thank god Im not stupid enough to buy their  little scheme. Definitely fraud

Any number with a "000" exchange is a definite fraud, as it doesn't exist.  The dnc list is totally worthless.

That is exactly what I do, except I use Do Not Answer instead of Spam.  Great suggestion!

I get several calls a week from this number.  I have actually clicked through the prompt and got connected to a person who proceeded to ask me questions about my credit card.  When I informed her that my phone number was on a "no call" list, she hung up.  That was not the end of it, the calls continue.  How can this be stopped?

These calls are from 'Card Holder Services' which seem to operate from outside the country and also do not honor the 'DO NOT CALL' list.  I recommend that you log the calls and report them to the FCC to have them shut down as the calls will continue.  They called my work cell phone for forever until I personally had 5 FCC complaints against them.  Now, they are calling from new numbers.

Those of you on the "Do Not Call" list who keep getting calls from these ridiculous people . . . these are "robo-calls."  A computer just dials numbers in sequence until they get someone to answer.  For example, 555.556.1234 doesn't answer so the computer dials 555.556.1235 and so on . . . like in the movie War Games.  If you don't recognize a number, don't answer it.  Look it up here.  If it's spam, save it in your contacts as spam (number them: Spam1, Spam2, etc.).  Then, when one of these numbers calls you again, it shows up as Spam and you just click your ignore button.
