Could be, or possibly a coincidence. These scammers seem to call a LOT of people. Do not let these criminals have access to your computer if they call again. Best just not to answer the call. By the phone number's fake prefix, it's clearly a spoofed number.

a guy with an accent wanted to help me correct my problem with my PC--I got hacked yesterday, several of my contacts from my email account reported I had sent garbage. Yahoo told me to change my password, so I did---but how did this guy get my phone number? How did he know I had a problem? I think he is the one who hacked me!

Same with me! It is ridiculous how many "Name Not Found" or "Unknown" phone numbers are available to these people -- whoever they are. Lately I am besieged by seemingly public service calls that claim that due to many break-ins my local police think I should have a security system blah, blah ... Guess this is how they get around the DO NOT CALL LIST ... "Public service" agenda. Yeah, right! ... Just another telemarketer trick. As everyone else, am SO SICK of these calls!!!! --- Thanks for listening.

a guy with an accent told me he was calling to help me fix my computer problem-I got hacked yesterday-was notified by several contacts in my e-mail account, and yahoo notified me to change my password, which I did. How did this guy get my phone number? Is he the one who hacked me? How do we get this stopped?

I just got a call from this number, but since I did not recognize who it was from, I did not answer. If someone wants to speak to me after 5 p.m., they need to have their name or the name of the place where they are calling from. Getting stray calls to my unlisted number is not called for. And, I won't pay attn. to them. This seems to be deceitful.
